Towards the end of the programme I think you can really see how much pain Eric is in. It looked like he was struggling just to skate, let alone complete all the elements. I'm from the UK but I imagine all of Canada will be so proud of the determination that went into making it through that programme. An incredible athlete both physically and mentally.
This team is unfairly disliked by the judges. I rewatched their sp and they could easily have been up several spots. Unlike past world champions they were given no gifts or credit that is for sure and maybe treated badly in fact. I have no idea why they are so hated on the websites for skating. Yet a team lilke Savchenko and Massot where Massot is not of the same quality gets generously rewarded.
Sorry but I don't agree with you. They are disliked by many but for good reason. They really have zero chemistry together which makes their boring programs even more boring. Unlike last season which they at least made it technically, this season was neither technically solid or artistically strong.
Sorry, but could you tell me then what you mean by "chemistry" because I see the chemistry between them. They weren't technically as strong as last season because both have dealt with injuries during the whole season and no, I am not making dumb excuses. They weren't good and definitely didn't deserve first place. I am not saying that, but what I am saying is that they DON'T deserve the hate they get for being who they are. They are a great team and put hard work into their programs.
The problem with them, and many skating fans will tell you that, that their don't look like thay skate "as one". They always look like 2 individuals that just happen to skate the same routine. That is this "lack of chemistry". Also the fact tat Meagan mostly smiles her whole perfomances, I know she loves and enjoys skating and competing, but she cannot sell a sad song with a huge smile on her face. The only way for them to win is to go with difficult technical package and be consistent - then judges reward them with PCS. This season was especially bad, I think the routines weren't working for them and later that injury. They deserve praise for being brave and not giving up. And with Savchenko and Massot there is that situation that Aliona sells the program herself, Bruno obviosuly improved a lot (good teacher he has). Though, reputation scoring is always present.
I don't agree. I think Savchenko and Massot separate from D and R have been u nfailry given extra points. And about the smiling I agree to a point but this no worse and less worse excuse the english compared to Mirai Nagasu's Carmen from 2010. Sorry she had no idea what Carmen was about she just did the American Miss Aerica skate.

One of the hardest sells in pairs is when the girl is as graceful as Slutskaya! Meghan, with her ghastly posture and clumsy movement that even after trying her best to soften looked clumsy. Her facial expression was a painted-on smile that looked as if she only had 2 or 3 senses. Her technical ambition with jumps that were not smooth, compared to Eric, who's movement just blended and flowed from one to another. Meghan is a courageous skater with an ugly skating style. It doesn't matter what dress you put her in she just did not have a skating style that any woman would want to emulate. That was Meghan, competing against the likes of Aliona, Winjing, Ksenia, Tatiana Volosozhar etc. Truly sticking out like a sore thumb. Julie piles on movement to music and did nothing to refine this pair though what more could you do? Moskvina was finally able to give Kyoko Ina a style that at least softened some of the harshness but this team reminds me of Ina /Zimmerman where the girl was just not EVER up to the mans skating level
First time have seen this couple and no, sorry, they just do not have whatever it is that is needed to be top skaters. They do not even 'go' together. I would not watch them again, maybe this is the reason for their low fan base!?

THANK YOU! Finally someone who agrees with me!

Eric's best outfit.
Not enough technical points, no ignition, dropped, and what to do now...
FIRST!!!!!!!!
Lacks flow and chemistry - they appear just to be going from one element to the next.

Megan Duhamel will lose to Russian figure skater Anna Shcherbakova.
It's time for Meghan to retire looks scary already.
