Thanks a lot! I got the hang of the basic functionnalities of cavalry and now am wondering about how to make stuff more logically (i.e. using the same numbers to drive several behaviors) and your video just answered a whole lot of those questions! Thank you for making this, havea great day! :)

This is fantastic!! You're not getting nearly enough views on these - gotta get the folks at Cavalry to share!!

Heads up - I think Cavalry has changed a fair bit since you made this so some of the shader stuff doesn't work any more in the way you describe. Great effect though!

Thanks! I haven't made these in a while so that's bound to happen. Glad it was still useful!

@@nicktheritter Yeah, it seems the If/else statement can not be applied to the shader of the sky. It does seem to be there as when you try connecting it again it will show a number of how many are there, but when you go in to the sky attributes you do not see the if/else in the shader. Don't know if it is a bug or now there might be a different way to have conditions turn on and off layers.

@@muddygun Hm. I wouldn't be surprised if they updated enough in the app for this exact process to break. I'd imagine at the very least you could connect the if/else with the layer's opacity. Less elegant.
If I get a minute, I'll see if I can find a solution.

@@nicktheritter Complete newbie here to everything motion. This took me a couple hours to solve but I ended up using two if elses and another number range to handle converting the value 0-100 to 0 - 1 for the conditions on the if elses. Then (Due to my lack of knowledge) I settled on two animation controls just to have 100 and 0 to put into the true/false of the if elses. The if elses control the opacity of the cloud and star groups. Due to the conditionals its an on off, which I think looks decent.
Thanks a ton for this tutorial, i'm learning a lot.
