    I got my mom the S20 FE 5G in 2020 with 3 years of OS support. I see it lasting much longer though ngl. The camera is fire and since most apps can't even process such high quality images, it really doesn't make a difference to go all out. I have the S10, but I'm gonna upgrade once I see a compelling offer from carriers or Samsung themselves.

      @@adnanmedics28 i just went to T-Mobile today. The S10 qualifies for a $400 trade-in value, so I pre-ordered the Ultra for $950 after the taxes and trade-in value. I wouldn't have bought it, but considering I paid $1100 for my S10 unlocked, this was worth the value after 4 years.

    I used the S10+ for 4 years. Excellent phone that had several modern features ahead of its time while still retaining legacy ones. Super light weight and excellent battery life. I now upgraded to the S23 ultra.
    EDIT: The reason I upgraded from the S10+ is that Samsung no longer supports security updates on that phone. Otherwise, I would've still continued to use it as my primary phone.

    If Samsung, Apple, Motorola etc are going to go cheap on chargers and say it's for the environment, they need to step up and make a battery that lasts 5 or more years. And they need to support them for at least 7 years. I'm sure people getting a new phone every year are far worse on the environment than some extra cardboard. Lithium vs cardboard. Which is worse for the climate?

      My S6 Edge bought February 2018 used. So it's more than 5 years. The damned Exynos isn't that efficient. The battery is still healthy though I think it's starting to bloat but that's only because I used it while charging for the last 2 years which heat it a lot and damaged the oled. I can't press certain parts when it heats up now. I'd reckon the battery would last 10 years if it was paired with SD 820 and above or the equivalent kirin

    I bought a note 10+ thanks to your advice about a year ago. For me the battery life is phenomenal I get around 30 hours with normal use. Maybe 6 hours if gaming the whole time. I do notice it can't keep up on COD Mobile max settings anymore, especially not in BR mode. Other than that I think it's a phenomenal device still and I will probably hang onto it for another year before I upgrade to the s21 ultra.

    I have a note 10 plus which i have owned for a while now. It has suited me nearly perfectly. Verizon offered me a pixel 7 for nearly free which i took, thinking it would be a good time for an upgrade (trading in a different phone). After using the pixel for a few months, I went back to my old note 10 plus. It's just that good. The pixel felt a bit like a downgrade. I don't know how to say, but the note 10 plus just feels right in my hands. I'll likely be using this phone for as long as I possibly can.
    I guess my only complaint about the note 10 plus is the sub par battery life and the difficulty to keep a screen protector on the curved glass. Minor flaws i can live with.

    I still have the note 10 plus for more than 2 years it's great phone but the only problem is the battery life because I use the phone all the time (sometimes more than 20 hours per day) but I don't go outside the house often so I use the charger all the time

    I love my note 20 ultra. It is incredible. It is my secondary phone to my iPhone 13 pro max and would be my main phone if I didn't have an Apple ecosystem at home and in the office and if my family didn't all have apple.

    Awesome recommendations! S21 ultra 💕 Too bad most of them are not eligible for higher Android updates.. I think there's a way to get the latest Android versions for these older flagships, then all of them will be truly a bang for the buck.

    My note 8 is running good too, but I'm not a regular gamer. I don't get much whatsapp messages either. I do have a very slim portable powerbank. Most days I don't need it. I do watch prime and netflix here and there. I think most Samsung flagships are incredible. It can last for years. Just get a good vpn and good password manager. Touchwood my phone battery will last me an other 2 more years lol.

    So safe to say that N10P is still a solid choice in 2023? How long will it receive security updates? Can the device still be used when security updates no longer work exist?

    • @emplays22
      @emplays22 ปีที่แล้ว

      N10P will get 1 or 2 more years of security updates. Any device can run after os updates so its kind of bs to make people upgrade every year. You just miss out on new features, some of which you won't even use. As long as you have good hardware and decent battery life, you should be good until the phone physically breaks.
