What a great setup you have to care for ailing monkeys on site! They seem relaxed and trusting under your watch, except for the funny tasting meds part 😆. Thank you for sharing the senior monkeys with us. I'm happy to know they live out all their years in good care and safety. ❤

Great video. Very interesting. It shows how vigilant you are that you picked up on Kesey not eating after only one day. Great observations there! I love the baby videos but it really is good to see the grown up velvets too.

I can totally relate to the elderly monkey problems and it's wonderful to see the care and attention they get. At 75 I seem to have many of the same problems they do, but not the same attention 😊. I keep forgetting the value of ginger tea.

I didn't know how I was going to feel about this video, but... I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Maybe it's because I'm in my mid 60s and can relate more to the geriatric monkeys. 😂
Everything about the video was interesting. How they eat, what they eat, what illnesses they have, how they feel about sickbay and the medicine, etc. etc.
While I was watching this, I started remembering the viewers who would watch the YT Short videos, when you first started posting them, and the people who would say things about "mistreating the vervets." I'd really love for those people to see this video and then try to say those things again afterwards!! The care and love you guys show all the monkeys and especially the older ones, really shows what great people you are.

I know you need to see them take the meds, but since they are so smart, would it be easier to put the med treats with the food plates so they don't think you are trying to give them meds? That's how I do meds with my dogs otherwise they won't take the meds, no matter how hard I try to hide it. Just a thought. Chippy back out with her family that's wonderful.❤

Keep in mind that 30 years is the outer limit of a monkey's life span. It's like a person living to be 100. They could live to be older but it is unlikely.
I've heard you mention ginger tea. What is ginger tea good for?
Ginger tea is good for everything and not just monkeys. For us it's great for digestion and colds/flu etc add a bit of honey for coughs.
The monkeys instinctively know what is best for them and they love the ginger tea.
You need to search medicinal uses for ginger. They are many. Some have been scientifically studied. Tea, properly steaped, is an easy way for the body to utilize the medicinal properties.
