I finally figured out what I want to say about this video. We as viewers sometimes forget what it takes to “set-up” a shot. Filming is not easy. Henry holds on for dear life with one hand and films himself as he “interviews” Ms. Cools. It takes extraordinary balance skills to do this. Try framing a shot and riding is no easy task. Second when shots call for both of them riding towards the camera or away from the camera a use of a tripod is needed. No big deal except for the fact that it’s time consuming. Going back and forth to first set up the tripod and then retrieving it. Then you have to mentally make notes of how your going to piece together like a jigsaw puzzle in post production the hours of footage in order to tell a coherent story shown to his subscribers. People think being a TH-camr is all fun and glory but it’s work and Henry is getting better and better. Look at production values from his early work 3-4 years ago and now. He is perfecting his craft. I myself would fall off my bike having to film and look and Ms. Cools shapely shape while riding behind. Keep up the good work Henry!!
Wow so much to say. The redwoods were uplifting to see. The interaction with the guy running with the earth flag was great. Mrs cools bike is beautiful and those tires are bomb. The budget have huge respect for that. Definitely respect and admire the vibe you two take on the road.
I enjoyed seeing you ride all the roads that I have ridden over the years. I think I need to get back out there and loose a few pandemic pounds. I don’t know if many people appreciate the miles you two ride in a day or the difficulty of the terrain. I am in awe...
Thank you, it was a special treat to be able to ride in the Santa Cruz mountains and we push ourselves a little harder to be able to see a little more in the time we have.
The thing I liked best was everything. Thanks again for presenting another serial episode of "La joi de faire du vélo." Especially joyful when it is with a wonderful friend and in such a picturesque part of California and on those beautiful, classic, ready-for-anything bikes. Like I said, "Everything!"
What a great tour you two, I enjoyed watching the trip. I've gone without warm clothes for the sake of saving weight. What I learned was don't do that. Lol 😆
Great seeing my local roads in your latest video! Old San Pedro Road, Dirt Alpine and Sawyer Camp Trail just to mention a few. Epic ride indeed, well done!!
Lovely film thanks. I was piecing the route and assumed mileage while watching. Given that you’r cycling area is so nice.....any chance of adding a route map and mileage completed at the end of your rides? Extra work I know and apologies for suggesting if not feasible. Had to play Van the Man’s ‘Redwood Tree’ after watching. Super trip. Thank you again.
Great bike ride with abrupt ending??? Always glorious to see Ms Cools riding her bike with her usual casual enthusiasm Great scenery and good ambition in this plan. High cool factor here maybe even 6 out of 5 on the cools meter. I could tell Ms Cools was suffering bit from the cold at points. love the video guys please keep it up 10k subs is just around the corner now Ms Cools on the Planet of the Apes what it not to like here - trippy stuff for sure
Thanks Henry and your company Ms cools, really enjoy visiting and riding with you all these scenery. It eally motivates me to ride my bike also. cant say enough how you manage to ride and at the same time operate the camera. A big Tennesee bear houg to you both fro me, Enesto in Guatemala, Central America
I live in the South Bay. It was awesome seeing you guys on all these routes that I ride. Also The winds that week were shifting all over the place. The wrong wind can make it physically and mentally challenging. Looked like a fun tour overall! cheers 🍻
Nice! As a Santa Cruzan, there's something fun about seeing you folks here on video in town! Hope you enjoyed your visit--obviously, lots of rad road/dirt riding with Santa Cruz as a starting point. Peace!
We had a blast! Santa Cruz is one of my favorite places to visit. Would love to come back soon and check out some of the sweet NorCal single track we spotted on our way up Empire Grade.
I'm just glad Pacifica was ready for its photo op with fog and overcast skies. And I grin and say thank you to my Northern California peoples, Mr. Wildeberry and Ms. Cools. Pretty cool to see where I lived as a kid for almost three years and rode all over on my Sting-Ray.
Hi Henry, I always need more layers in the morning, especially when going downhill. My strategy: two toe-clip straps around my saddle to attack rolled up jerseys when I take them off -- and a gilet in a cut-off water bottle. Of course you know all this. Best wishes, John.
Wow. Just a beautiful ride. It seemed like you didn’t have to contend with a lot of traffic, is that true? I loved that planet of the apes section, it looked like an ideal place to get lost for a day!
Thanks for your video. It was great. Can you give me more info about your route, especially, how to find the back roads & bike paths. I really do not like to ride on Hwy 1. Thanks.
Wow ! What a great tour . Loved the drone shots. Ms. Cools, sure knows how to navigate you guys through those trails . Did you have to lift your bikes over that closed section . KB.
Your bikes are perfectly suited to those routes! I was following along on a split screen with Google maps. Credit card touring is a great way to travel light and spontaneously. And this looks like a good situation for wearing wool. Thanks for the wonderful videos. I wonder how you are able to record so well with the camera pointing behind you!
Any chance you can post the route? We have a place in Cambria now and would like to incorporate some of those nice roads in a Bay Area excursion in the future.
Nice you went through my area. I usually ride along Woodside and Canada Rd. Did you hit Kings Mountain? I see you went through Sawyer Camp trail too. Pre-COVID it wasn't too crowded. Nowadays it's usually busy so I stay away from it. Maybe one day I'll go back. lol
I don’t think we ended up on Kings Mountain, perhaps we missed something good? I think we ended up on the bike path at a good time as it wasn’t too crowded.
@@Henrywildeberry Some decent climbing(since you're both good climbers), good views. It also leads you to the coast. Check it out next time you're down here. :)
Im curious i don't know much about California. Are those old roads and trails on public land or what?. Y'all seem to find a lot of cool places to ride that seem to be open to anyone.
great video!! i cant believe how little stuff you bring. amazing. do you rinse all your stuff out at night and then let it dry and wear again? is there a map of your route? in november, maybe august, i'll be riding that area and am curious about your route.
25:23 in many videos seems Ms Cools seats too rear with her bottom out of saddle. She pedal with center of feet plant. May be frame too long for her or saddle too far back.
Thank You, I used to live close to there and I figured thats where it was. I used to camp up there as a kid with my buddies, there are abandoned WW2 bunkers up there. I will go ride that route as I am glad it is open and being used. Thank You.

Calling each other Ms Cools and Mr Wildeberry (28:36) is something two characters out of Charles Dickens would do.
Another great ride that you both took me on. I could almost feel the ride and cold wind. I appreciate the video, thanks.

Great video Henrywildeberry! Thanks for the name check - best wishes to you and Ms Cools.
I’m glad we could share a virtual coffee with you, Julian!
Spectacular. And never a dull moment. Amazing filming with perfect angles and stable. Great narration and groovy music!
Loved your ride. That bike fits Ms. Cools perfectly

Now that's the kind of tour one takes----------------------------no bears! The scenery was amazing as was your camera work while riding.
The bear free tour, well, we may have seen a few Cal Bears!
Another wonderful epic video! Glad the Planet of the Apes trail was not as scary as the name suggests. The movie really got to me as a child!

Very nice tour. Good points on the layering. Take care, Al
Another fun, cool, chill adventure shared by Henry and Ms Cools!
Ms. Cools is the coolsest!
Great ride, thanks Player Hen!
Lots of energy expenditure on this ride, awesome effort by both of you👍 Never count on a tailwind. Good advice for life.

Wow, H. W. Almost 10k!!!👏👏👏👊🏼 A testament to all your great efforts!!! Thanks for sharing your guys journey with us. To many, many more!!! ✌🏼✌🏼
Thanks, Rob, for being along for the ride. We wouldn’t have kept doing this if it wasn’t for yours and other’s kind words of encouragement.

Great vid 👌 San Francisco looks SO quiet
Henry and Ms. Cools with the smooth jazzy beaaat!
So far so epic! Who's on the UFO drum breaks starting around @8:30? Thanks for the videos you two.
Greetings from the land down under ..
another very nice bike trip. I always wonder, what is your trick for filming so well from all sides.
Such nice scenaries
When the time comes, as a retirement gig you guys should consider leading nothern/central coast bike tours!
nice treat, always like your tours, this one was really good , the end though , blogus interuptus
one of the shops here in springfield mo uses Verve Coffee. its delicious. small world! also great film as usual
That’s neat! I had no idea they were distributing coffee all the way to the Midwest. Very cool!
Point Reys? You should stop by Black Mountain Cycles sometime and film it of course.

Thanks Ken - It was great not having to lift our bikes over any gates, they were all opened for us. We lucked out this time.
This looks like a great ride for my husband and I. How do we find a a map of all the roads you took?

Hi Korina, I have the route up on Strava.
Im curious i don't know much about California. Are those old roads and trails on public land or what?. Y'all seem to find a lot of cool places to ride that seem to be open to anyone.
Yes, all public roads. The closed road was due to the recent fire in the area, but it will technically reopen soon.
@@Henrywildeberry Cool thanks 😊
I prefer the bikes over the two Porsche cars. 🚲😍
Me too! We might be a little biased though.
If a road is closed, and I'm on a bike, I use the closed road if no crew is working there.
great video!! i cant believe how little stuff you bring. amazing. do you rinse all your stuff out at night and then let it dry and wear again? is there a map of your route? in november, maybe august, i'll be riding that area and am curious about your route.

Can you tell me or us where you picked up the planet of the apes trail in pacifica? Thanks.
We took Peralta Road to Higgins Road and that’s where the trail starts.
Thank You, I used to live close to there and I figured thats where it was. I used to camp up there as a kid with my buddies, there are abandoned WW2 bunkers up there. I will go ride that route as I am glad it is open and being used. Thank You.
What fun! How cold did it get?
Hello! The lowest temps were probably around the high ‘40s F.
@@Henrywildeberry a bit of a chill. As always, what a great video. Thanks much.
Looks like mountain lion scat in the foreground at 11:45.
What kind of tires does Miss C have? What type of tread?
She's riding Gravel Kings (hand me downs) 650b x 48mm. They have the brown sidewalls. They're a decent slick tire, and can be set up tubeless.
Ms, Cools, please hold onto that handlebar
Are you heading to LA ride the observatory at sunrise and mullhold drive Ventura Blvd etc
Thanks Hector! We will check it sometime.
Where is your gear?
Fun trip, but the repetitive beat crushed me by about 11:00 and I signed off.
And remember kids always pay off the credit card balance before the end of the month. That is if you need to use one at all due to poor budgeting
It only costs a "little" more? Hmm. If you say so.
I think someone likes the Taycan
the forests need a good burn, It's just humanz try to control etc. 🤦♂️
great seeing your videos thanks guys
