Julie looks like a filipina celebrity in the Philippines, you can put her in a tv show or movie and she fits right in. There are some half filipino actors in the Philippines so it's not far fetched for Julie to become a celebrity!
Julie could easily be a Miss Philippines contender, very photogenic, will go to Rico's next time I'm in Cebu, the lechon and sisig looks good, I would ask for a lechon sauce.
Really love your simplicity and kind faces, sooo approachable! Been watching your videos but my first time to comments. Be safe and stay sweet always because Filipinos will love you more.
In the Philippines, both ChowKing and Mang Inasal (both owned by Jollibee Foods Corporation) sell halo-halo. Goldilocks also sells it as well as other desserts and meals. Overseas, some Jollibee branches sell halo-halo because there isn't any ChowKing or Mang Inasal there.
@Julie and Daniel....I recommend Cebu pochero, an absolutely great-tasting soup-based Cebuano dish. The pochero in Cebu is completely different than the pochero in Manila or Luzon area. The pochero in Cebu is very similar to Manila's 'bulalo' (bone marrow) but tastes great. The pochero in Manila is sauce-based meat dish. Get the famous pochero de Cebu at Abuhan Uno, Abuhan Dos or Abuhan Tres and Kusina Uno (now renamed Kusina Clasica). Although there are few other local restaurants in Cebu which also offer pochero. But Abuhan is already an institution in Cebu known for their pochero. Kusina Uno's owner used to be a long-time chef at Abuhan and started his own restaurant after his retirement.
Awesome! I’m glad you guys were able to try Rico’s! I sure wish I could find good lechon here in California. Mang Inasal (owned by the same corporation that owns Jollibee and Chowking) also has good halo halo, and it’s very cheap! Razon’s has won many taste tests for their halo halo. It doesn’t look like the typical halo halo but it’s good. If you happen to see one, give it a try. You guys make a great couple so I hope you get married someday. IMO, there’s no rush buying a house and having a baby. Enjoy your freedom traveling together. Your business overseas really can be your TH-cam channel. It will skyrocket if you continue vlogging in the Philippines… and then take those subscribers with you to your other overseas adventures. Have fun!
Uggghhh! The crunch of that lechon skin is making me hungry!!! LOL. I see in your previous video that u tried some lechon skin. Honestly, getting the rib portion is the best. Most of the spices, flavors, and herbs saturate in that area.
Watching your channel here in San Diego and very impressed with you two how familiar you guys with local cuisine by the correct pronounciations of what condiments will go with it. Just easy on the pork. For some with weak heart, that will be their ticket to heaven. God bless
in the Philippines, if you like are not sure about something, ask any local. don't use Google 🙂 try other Lechon places like Zubuchon and Rico's and that's another vlog 😁
How are you Mate.? Your a super cool couple hope you enjoy staying here, and when you go home (Ireland) do some Vlog bring us to best place there, so we have ideas and also about your culture. I been to Australia couple times specially in Victoria Melbourne, one of my best friend live in IRELAND .

I'm surprised that Julie hasn't been approached by a talent manager yet. Her face is definitely TV material.
Aw thank you so much

In the Philippines vinegar is from coconut( mostly ) that is why it’s different from the vinegar here in the UK and Ireland.
The stray dog will be having a feast with that Lechon.. So Lucky.. Take Care Julie and Daniel.. Enjoy! 💖

I used to live in Glendale Ca and a few restaurants have lechon, a whole pig 10 years ago would cost 230 bucks.

God bless
