"Game of Thrones" is a show I have heard a lot about but I can safely say I have never seen an episode... so here we go! Emilia Clarke had severe health issues during season 1 and 2, fighting with brain Aneurysms, followed by brain surgery between the seasons. She's such a trooper.
It's genuinely not only a miracle that she was able to do such a demanding show but it's a miracle she's even alive. The dedication that she showed to her craft throughout all of this is beyond admirable and she deserves all the awards.

A few tips: get moderators so you avoid spoilers, use subtitles, try to jot down some notes to keep track of everything that is going on.
All dialogue is important and gives A LOT of exposition, so do not underestimate it.

Seasons 1-5 are excellent! Season 6 is uneven, and seasons 7 and 8 are deeply stupid unwatchable garbage.

At the end "why did his face change all of a sudden?" He is having PTSD about past battles. You can hear the battle noises that he is hearing in his head.
The intro map will change based on where we go in the show, so make sure to watch and dance every time 😄
I distinctly remember watching episode 3 for the first time and the look on Ned's face watching Aria train to fight. It was so foreboding and you could see the regret on his face for bringing his daughters to King's Landing.
What I would recommend when watching this show is trying to understand all types of angles and characters perspectives and not just decide on who is “good“ and who is “bad“

So not only was Ned fearing for Arya like you said, he was also experiencing ptsd, it shows how different he is from The King as the king was bragging about war earlier in the episode.
Also The Targaryens (Daenerys fam) were very big on incest like it was basically how they lived for 400 years. So warning House of Dragon has a lot more incest LMAOO

One thing about Game of Thrones is that is has an amazing score. Ramin Djawaldi never missed, every single season's soundtrack gives me goosebumps.

About the Shrek connection: Everyone saw it from the beginning. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who played the character was asked. He sais he definitely channeled Prince Charming from Shrek. I don't remember which interview though.

Hi Brad, in some of your other reactions you occasionally mentioned some things being spoiled for you and this show has a lot of great twists and intrigue happening so I would genuinely recommend you get someone to moderate the comments for you. Even things that aren't explicitly written as spoilers but just as wannabe clever hints can easily lead you on a train of thought to conclude what they alluded to and someone who has seen the show could recognize those and filter them out so you can get the fullest experience possible. For a show with this many seasons I think it would really be worth it🖤
