i resonated so much with the multi tasking struggles! i always feel guilty about not posting for extended periods but tbh it always feels better to post less frequently than to burn out making content when you're not in the mood. i hope you can rediscover your spark in this new life chapter !!! 🥳 i hate the pressure ppl put on women exiting their twenties. there's too much emphasis on "young" success as if accomplishments cease to matter afterwards. life experience can yield some of the most meaningful, nuanced and emotional storytelling, and i hope more young writers can be reassured by that. 20s have always been about figuring yourself out and growing into who you are

It's true and important for us to not negate who we are now and how we got here. I like that you said that and spoke about the majority doing well with their writing career after 30, but for some reason, those who are successful under 30 are talked about more. Man, life can get so crazy and overwhelming especially wanting to do so many things. Felt this 100%. Very close to 30 and feeling behind seeing that I just really got into dedicating myself to writing novels and would love to publish sooner rather than later (And a bunch of ideas I really want out there in the world). But keep reminding myself to take it a bit at a time. Just sent out poetry for websites for the first time this year after years of writing. I so wish you had gotten to go to the award ceremony and congrats on your win! Would love to hear more about your self publishing journey and the standalone series.
Happy belated birthday!!! I totally understand what you mean about turning 30 (as someone who will be hitting that number in a little over a year). I can't help but feel like 30 is the 18 of the adult world. And by that I mean that there's all this build up to it, all these expectations associated with it, and you can't help but internalize a little bit of it yourself, and then you hit it, and it's just like...is that really it? We should stop setting goals based on arbitrary, society-determined milestones and go at our own pace. That's what I think. Here's to a fulfilling (and positively spontaneous) rest of the year!!

Hybrid publishing for the win! I'm not published (yet), but definitely want to be both self and traditionally published. I can't imagine commuting 4 hours in a day. That would exhaust anyone. Totally understandable that you need to take some things off your plate. I hope your writing continues to go well.
