Don Powell still inspires me. Terrific interview. I'm 69 years old now and one of my life's highlights was seeing Slade live in 1975. It was at the Calderone Concert Hall in New York. LOUDest concert ever!!! What a fun night.
Don Powell is such a nice and beautiful man with a musical talent of gigantic proportions. I consider him one of the world best drummers. I love Slade and I still remember seeing them in Holstebro (dk) in the beginning of the seventies.
I've met Don a couple of times for a chat at Slade gigs. A lovely down to earth bloke who has time for his fans. A miracle he survived and im so glad he is still playing and happy in his life. A over looked and underrated thunderous drummer. Keep on rock in.
I have met Don Powell twice and had an opportunity to talk to him for about two hours. Very nice guy, no starship at all...

Nice guy smart funny witty and a great drummer
What a lovely person Don is. I was shocked to have learned he'd been thrown out of Slade by his 'friend' Dave just like that.
Don is such a down to earth guy, you would never think this guy was a huge 70's drumming icon, What a lovely man ,even today. god bless you man !
What a lovely man, great interview, thank you 🙏
Don's a long distance friend-a great guy and a true gentleman. Getting to know him has been a real pleasure!
And as a fellow drummer,a great role model! Not a typical rock tubthumper.
Great chap, so down to earth

Agree. He not only mastered drums, but also the percussion that really got the fans into the songs. What ever became of Johnny Howells???

Great to see Don getting a little limelight at last.
Always comes across as a really decent bloke on all the interviews I've seen.
Nice bloke
Спасибо, товарищи!
