your high school subjects dont matter at all, even if you have humanities as your subject in 12th you can get admission, but it is good to have PCMB because its recommend, but most of the time it doesn't matter

hey, i guess i can help you on how to become an astronaut: 1)undergrad majority of NASA astronauts took aerospace engineering as their undergrad, so its best to take it. (you could've chosen computer science instead of biology in 11th , because in aerospace engineering, one has to do a LOT of programming and computer modelling of space crafts or aircrafts.) a)if you are trying to go to the us for undergrad, you have to fulfill almost all the guidelines given by dhyey in this video. some of the best universities in the us for undergrad would be: mit,stanford, caltech,UCLA,USC,UC Berkely, purdue, UT Austin,georgia tech, etc.. a)if you want to do undergrad in india, then its best if you give jee mains and advanced and try to get into the iits, or you can get into colleges like vit,hits,SRM, IIAE etc... 2)after undergrad you have to get at least a masters degree(PhD is highly preferred), from a good institute. 3)work experience and other requirements a)you have to have 3 years of work experience. but, if you have a masters degree, then it is compensated as 1 of the 3 years from the work exp. and if you have a PhD, it is compensated as all 3 years. b)you should have a commercial pilot's license and should have flown for at least 1000 hours, which will take 2 years. 3)physical requirements(as per NASA's guidelines) a)height- 5'2'' - 6'3'' (better if you are shorter than 6 feet) b)BMI- between 23 and 28 c)eyesight - 20/20 in both eyes, corrected or uncorrected. d)blood pressure - 140/90 e) NO chronic illness WHATSOEVER f)should know how to scuba dive ( atleast should know how to swim) g)should have a charming personality and have a good sense of humour, because when you are in space you might feel very loney . h)you should be very physically fit and mentally strong, so if you have visited and psychiatrist before and taken any medication, then you WON't be selected.(this is one of the main reasons why people of military backgrounds are selected, because they are very physically fit and mentally strong). if you pass ALL of these hurdles, then you are eligible to apply for the post of an astronaut. so basically, after your undergrad, you have to work for at least 15 years in order to become an astronaut.Also, even if you have passed all these hurdles and applied, there is no assurity that you will get selected ( for the position of the NASA's first astronaut to mars, out of 18,500 people, only ONE astronaut will be selected). i know it is very time consuming and EXTREMELY expensive, but if you are determined enough, you can surely achieve your dream. BTW, i'm also working hard to become an astronaut, so if all goes well, i'll meet you in the future again as astronaut candidates. ALL THE BEST!!! hope this was helpful :).

You can write SAT paper in both class 11th and 12th, but class 11th is most preferred, if you not getting good marks enough then again give paper, But decent mark is enough, more focus on your passion work, it will help in your essay..

There is no MIT MSc course in Physics (for general public) you can do a 5 year BS MS from India then directly apply for PhD
