Well it was beautiful and rhythmic... maybe i am wrong since i did not see it as a spiritual intention revealing the unity that is at our base core. There is a beautiful tradition in my orthodox church where at Easter time the church is dark and then one candle is lit and that flame is passed around to others lighting up the whole church! i did appreciate how hard it was to learn all these movements since my sister was a dancer and would train for a whole week for few minutes on a weekly show!
I've seen this piece four times at Pacific Northwest Ballet, and it's shocking to see how different the movement quality is here! Maybe it's partially due to the music being recorded whereas PNB used live orchestra, but I highly recommend looking up some of the videos of PNB performing this choreography. It's very different!
