Sharp VC-6630 VHS VCR from 1990 with issues. Can I repair it? Will the customer approve the estimate

A Sharp VC-6630 from 1990 that came in with several issues. Belts, Mode Select Switch and others. Can I repair it? Will the owner approve the estimate?

You could probably get both motors working better by cleaning the bearing and oiling them.

why does it keep shutting down? timeout means what? its programmed to do it? I have the Philips VR 6843 OEM Sharp.

Paraffin based lube was like glue through the years. I hate that stuff.
