The Hwasa and Jimin, Miyeon and Jaehyun, and Minnie and Yuta rumors were so strange to me. These happened towards the end of the year because of the whole “Dispatch end of the year couple tradition,” and all of these idols had to suffer through haters and crazy fan’s hatred when it wasn’t even true. And even if it wasn’t, you don’t own them and should be happy for them. They are humans after all. Jimin and Hwasa made the most sense out of all of them and yet at the same time it didn’t. The only reason is because BTS and Mamamoo are friends. Meanwhile, Miyeon and Jaehyun and Minnie and Yuta never even interacted with each other 💀

It’s so weird how some ppl make anything about dating and spread dating rumours from Idols wearing same clothes sponsored by luxury brands to looking at eatch others direction at a award show. It’s so bizarre how delusional some ppl are and how much time they have in their hands. That also tells about one as a person if all you do is draw conclusions between male and female Idols who may not even know each other personally and may be just friends which is a consept that these kind of ppl can’t grasp.

it's never just the woman who gets hate. kai was called disgusting when jenkai came out because he had previously dated krystal. even though we don't know chen's wife. he got hate and fans showed up outside of the sm building. dawn got hate when hyuna and him were exposed when pentagon was at the peak of their career. kangin (?) i don't remember the suju member who didn't go back to promotions because fans didn't want him back after he got married. there's also choi minhwan and he's married to the ex laboum member yulhee. he's been hated for years (one article said it was because it seems like he didn't care about his wife nor kids, i don't know if this is the reason. i've read different things)
Sometimes it’s the opposite, I suppose it’s about which one is more popular or has overdone fan service a little too much that had some fans going delusional. Depending on how the idol’s fandom is it can allow or restrict an idol from dating publicly like how Taeyang from Big Bang can marry and date Min Hyorin without any problems since Big Bang’s fan base is older at that point and Min Hyorin just so happens to be a well respected actress. Same goes for Momo and Heechul although Heechul got more hate than Momo because he’s a lot older (the hate came from some twice fans or people who don’t think the age gap is acceptable) a lot of the Korean public actually seems fine with it since Heechul is a senior idol and he seems to genuine like Momo so much that she’s the first and only girl he ever dated publicly

To anyone who is reading this IF YOU SHIP IDOLS KEEP IT TO YOURSELF I've shipped idols before but you should never post about it because there's always a possibility it could get out of hand and if the idols were to read it would be really uncomfortable for them. Of course most of us will never know what it feels like to be in a rumoured dating scandal but we shouldn't be making idols uncomfortable because of the fantasy in our heads.
The real problem is that dating shouldn't be considered a scandal. Idols should be able to date anyone they want without any negativity from the fans or the company. Then maybe the idols wouldn't be uncomfortable about fans posting about their ships and dating. The idols could just laugh about it whether or not the ship is true or false. I think that is what happens with Blackpink. I think they just laugh about it rather than feel uncomfortable.

the jimin jeongyeon thing was funny and frankly i didn't even think of their weird looks being due to dating. I saw it more as a frenemy situation because BTS and Twice used to run into each other alot (overlapping promotions, guesting on tv shows together, teamed together at ISAC, MCs together on music and award shows). so it wouldn't surprise me if they had their fair share of friendly professional interactions and even some jokes. It went too far though when jeongyeon started to get death threats, and her older sister and her pet's IG accounts were frequently harassed by obsessive fans. Now i get annoyed when people bring it up because it typically attracts delusional shippers or obsessive fans.

Mina and BamBam isn't that crazy to believe, they are good friends with each other. A lot of relationships can and do stem from close friendships. Mina is pretty introverted, while BamBam isn't exactly an introvert he does have a relaxed personality which would work well with Mina. So I feel like this one doesn't really fit with the rest of these rumors. The aftermath though, why can't people just mind their own business.

There was that list of idols dating that everyone believed was true. It included Jisoo × Mino, and everybody said it was true but that turned out to be false because Mino revealed he's been single for the past 7 years. As a Jisoo fan, I knew she wasn't dating (you can just tell), but I would have supported her either way. However, I did not appreciate kpop fans bullying her over a rumor. (Winner fans never did, but other kpop fans did.)

i think its fun to speculate, its pretty popular in western pop culture without repurcussions but the problem is in Korea, these speculations are suchhhh a big deal and can truly affect careers. It takes all the fun out of it. Like saying a couple of idols would be cute together COULD be harmless if idol culture wasn't so fundamentally based on these idols availability. It's seen as so important that idols dedicate their lives to their careers that the thought of them dating can actually lead to so much hate. It's sad! But on a fun note, I think the Mina and Bam Bam one has some merit and what a cute picture!! From personal experience, i think it seems more likely jeongyeon legitimately doesn't like him and maybe jimin had a bad relationship with one of her friends that further fueled the drama. Definitely heard that sarcasm/seen that look before from my friends toward an ex lol but yea idk, let these people live!
