And a year later, your statement is that much more fitting given the lunacy we've all been seeing unfold. Rod's new book 'Live Not By Lies' is on my to-buy ASAP list. Looking for solutions beyond myself (and defiantly beyond the government) seems not only logical, but necessary to me! The world's starting to take shape and look alot like how the Bible described it'd be before the end. You were here a year ago and looking for answers, keep going! And take care 🙂.

When love is as a perfect diamond it is very strong and beautiful and when it shatters to a thousand fragments each piece reflects the same. Love is not within that one holds but the essence of what one gives out.
These are glorious days that fall upon us where the invisible become the visible thus truly separates the wheat from the chaff.
Romans 5:3-5 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

I can't see the revival happening at all. Governments, especially here in Australia, have left the values of what Christianity preaches. The issue is that Australia has not taken a political stance against political Islam and Muslim immigration to this country. We need to stop Muslim immigration. The reasons for needing to stop immigration because of what Islam especially political Islam is about *is not being discussed* Unless the Australian Government starts to have this debate our country, Australia, will be washed out thanks to acquiescence to Muslim demands.

The declining relevance of the Church isn't a recent phenomenon. It's decline began with the emergence of empirical/material based scientific method, which was a few hundred years ago. Empiricism relies on the senses and observation for truth. Christianity is (loosely) based on Platonic metaphysics. Hardly anyone takes Platonic metaphysics seriously anymore. Religion would have to solve this problem before it could become popular again. The other issue is morality. What's considered moral and immoral usually changes every generation, even if it's only a slight change. The Church needs to either change with it or at least accommodate parts of it to remain relevant.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury (socialism). From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage. -Alexander Fraser Tytler

That is why wealthy families in Australia earning up to $351,248.00 p.a. are eligible for electoral bribes we call "Child Care Subsidy". A family grossing almost $7000.00 a week getting welfare is just a vote buying bribe - which Tytler described beautifully in 1787.

And of course just read Mathew 24 for Christs quick summation of the end of the age as he told it to his disciples ,and what to look for as a sign of his return . There must come a falling away before the end comes ,another prophecy , but there are many ,but God tells us that we will be punished by going into captivity at the hands of our enemies , and he says because our sins have increased , and that certainly is true ,and they're increasing daily . So this punishment will be brought on civilization because of it's wickedness . God protected the Western nations , but he is withdrawing that blessing and other blessings as we turn our back on the living God , and God is active in the affairs of mankind whether we think so or not . Sir Winston Churchill wasn't stupid ,as he addressed the United States Congress after the second World War ended by stating ,There is a purpose being worked out here below ,were his words , An intelligent man indeed .

Normal conservative now day just need to stick to two point. A. To live as if the God exist, and society will be a place of comfort, and a collective defined by its ability to support and forgive. B. If there is conservative argument to be made to people of all background, it should be based on ethical reasoning, reached by common sense in most, instead of dogma and fairy tale that were written back in the copper age. For instance, why is divorce bad? You had enough in the past, stay with someone, before you pick another reject from someone again. It takes work to make a marriage works. Nothing is easy and there is nothing new under the sun. You have tried your way for years and it didn't work. Do it like everyone else, commit. The earlier, the stronger the bond for the rest of your life. On youtube, Dannis Prager at Prager University is one remarkable personality at promoting christian value through argument based on ethical reasonings. Conservative of all age groups and background that is interested in the preservation of cultural value, both traditional and spiritual, should check out his work, among others.

Well, I am an Orthodox, I support the Church and it's traditions, but the part that is made of human beings can be wrong and I think it's wrong about gays :) - it was wrong before on other things, I mean, for instance, the Orthodox Church owned slaves, as an institution.
Jesus said nothing about being gay, as far as I know. He did take part in a wedding, so we know he approved of it; and he did say he did not come to change the law, but to offer a better understanding and redemption. The law was that sex is a sin, for gay and hetero people alike. It is why we say "we are born in sin", even if our parents are married. However, Jesus has said that the way to salvation is accepting Him as Savior and love, for love contains all the other commandments. So for gay people and hetero people alike, they should abstain from sex without love, love is what makes any union holly :) The Church will see it, eventually - it doesn't mean we must attack it until it does, but to participate in it and support it, even if it doesn't always get it :) For instance, if you are gay, just because the Church says you are a sinner, doesn't mean you shouldn't go to Easter Mass - at least that's the way I see things :)

  • @drwinklepecker9298

The bible doesn't say gays will go to hell. It says men who have sex with men (doesn't mention gay women) "won't be admitted into the Kingdom of Heaven". (that doesn't mean going to hell). This was written by the Apostle Paul, who also said he'd met a man that was caught up to the seventh heaven (Christians with Sunday school intellect think if you're not going to heaven, you must be going to hell, but don't stop to think that only one of these seven heavens might be the Kingdom of heaven). Christianity is based on Jesus Christ - Jesus (his words in the Bible) don't mention gays at all. The apostle Paul (who'd never actually met Jesus face to face - but in his arrogance argued with people that lived with Jesus and received his teachings directly) evidently neglected the teaching of Jesus about not judging people, or about removing the plank from one's own eye before trying to remove the speck from a brother's eye. What Paul said is in contradiction to what Jesus said.

ROMANS 1: 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

The Bible (Word of God, we Christians believe) shows two ways = one of sin and that is with "darkness" or with Satan and hell but, it also shows the other way; the one with Christ and forgiveness and real love or AGAPE.
Now, it offers choice, in fact God offers choice. One either choose his way or that of Satan. Can not be both, it is clearly either or! All sin leads to "death" or hell (From the Word of God). Man, due to the original sin-choice (Adam & Eve), can not by him selves overcome sin. Thus, salvation (Jesus) or AGAPE....! For God so love the world, He gave His only son, so that who so ever believe in Him, will be saved. Not stop sinning, not be without sin, but forgiven. To be forgiven, one CHOOSE to believe in Jesus's salvation and grace (Love-AGAPE) and then by grace is forgiven! All sin falls under the grace of God!
    I emphasize - All sin!
Now, how does this relate to the sin of sexual transgression of man with man or woman with woman? These are both sin, just as braking of the mirage vow or steeling or murder or speaking bad of ones neighbor or longing after another mans wife or bowing to a false god or any of the sins listed in the Bible. No exception. Thus, being gay is not different from any other sin! It will be forgiven by Gods grace (Jesus's blood, death and resurrection). It is thus the duty of all Christians to accommodate all sinners in the family of the church with love (AGAPE). Including those with the sin of a sexual nature! Since we know that we all have sinned and are in sin, there should be no distinction within the church between this, or that, sin! All sin are forgiven but one: The sin against the holy spirit, or simply put, the sin of not accepting God's grace (Jesus Christ).
We as "the church" or the "children" of God (Jesus Christ) sin before God, by not accepting all sinners with love (AGAPE) and making them part of the loving family of God! We as Christians fail God in the way we are living through His amazing love (AGAPE)! We should all be like Jesus is! He reached out to the prostitute and tolled her: "Your sin is forgiven woman. Follow me and you will live forever"(Thus inherit ever lasting life). Failing to follow Jesus, and thus God. leads to death, for ever, that is called hell!
Thus, trying to make gayness different from other sin is Satan's way of sewing discourse between people, and thereby making non believers say that God is bad, thus Christianity is bad and that makes him win! We Christians should learn to love with the love of God (AGAPE) so all people will see that and want to be part of that! We are the ones failing God in that sense. Take hands, love with Gods everlasting love (AGAPE) so that all sin can be forgiven through GRACE!!! I Pray....

Gods moral law is indeed His heavenly gift and blessing unto a nation, in that He graciosly grants a nation the wisdom, influence, guidance and when needed, the boundaries of His moral law.
To have Gods moral law at work and alive within a nation, means that His law will, by Gods grace, be used by God to keep that nations concience more so sensetively aware of His holiness and His eternal, uncompromising standard of righteouseness, which is indeed the standard in which we all shall be judged.
And thus Gods moral law, when it is indeed alive and authoritatively active within a nation, becomes MOST importantly the great spiritual tool and or tutour in which The Holy Spirit uses to lead the blind unto their Saviour, Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
    (Psalm 43:3)
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacle.
    (Psalm 119:105)
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
    (Psalm 119:130)
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
    (Proverbs 6:23)
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
    (Proverbs 22:6)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
A plea of God unto His backslidden people....
    (Psalm 82:2-5)
How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:
And a warning of God unto His backslidden people....
    (Isaiah 5:20-25)
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight. Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
And always remember God, Who cannot lie has said....
    (Psalm 9:17)
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Thus our prayer should be .....
    (Psalm 9:19-20)
Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men.
    (Habakkuk 3:2)
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

Like the "Moral law that the " Bible Belt" follow?
"We hear an awful lot from conservatives in the Bible Belt and on the TV about how we all should be living. Certainly a culture that teaches the conservative religious values of the Christian right must have clean living written all over it. And lots of ripe fruit from their morally superior lives abounding."
"It doesn't. Far from it. People that talk the loudest may be the ones walking the slowest. Joining its history of Biblically correct bigotry and discrimination, it is an area with the highest divorce, murder, STD/HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy, single parent homes, infant mortality, and obesity rates in the nation. As a region, the Bible Belt has the poorest health care systems and the lowest rates of high school graduation."

Jesus told us how to relate to those people who speak the truth, yet do not live it..
      Matthew 23:3
Whatever they tell you ]to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
Therefore we must not use the example of a hypocrite to justify our own personal rebellion... A liar does not make void the truth.

If someone betrays your trust, by telling you that they love you and they are ready to marry you and committ to being a faithful partner unto you for the rest of their lives, but instead, after you have placed your trust in them, they behind your back begin committing adultery on you and are not repentant for their behaviour, but instead they end up leaving you for another person...... should you stop seeking a loving and faithful partner?
Do we then reject our hearts eternal desire, to give and recieve sincere and faithful love, because we have sadly encountered or heard of the hateful ways of an adulterer?

No one can impose Christianity on anyone, REAL Christianity is about a relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ, no one can give you salvation, it involves repentance which only the individual can do. There are more fake Christians than REAL Christians. Ask God for your answers he will show you, confirm what ANY Christian is telling you by using the bible to verify what they are saying.
