Hi Diane, Thank you for watching this video. I used toothpaste in this experiment because it is a common household material and kids are familiar to it. I want to use materials that are easily found at home to test whether they are alkaline or acidic.

Lemon juice is of course the obvious ingredient to use, the one thing that keeps the tea palatable and yet creates a marked color change.

I just mixed butterfly pea with chamomile and surprised the water color changed to green

I do think is a waste of RARE tea..
Not that rare... you can get a big bag of these flowers for cheap compared to a lot of the specialty teas.
