Thank you for sharing all your great footage. Wish my parents garage didn't get flooded out with all my video tapes there!! But thanks to you I can relive some of the stuff I saw live. TYVM!
The Philadelphia section was pretty poor!! Most of the acts that performed USA for Africa didn't show up...London Rocked!! Best by Far were Queen, followed by U2, David Bowie, George Michael and Paul Young!! None of the people commenting here did he show!! Manly because of the promoter Bill Graham.. Who was an absolute Nutter!!!
NostalgiaVHS No problem, I want to get everything I have that isn't on TH-cam already up here for people to watch! Make sure to check out my other channel tonight, I'm putting up a whole video I made about LIVE AID! th-cam.com/users/weirdpaulp
Really surprised U2 wasn't interviewed (or at least Bono). He was hugely into this. And I know in 1985 they hadn't reached the total superstar status they had a couple of years later, but they weren't unheard of. Super disappointing for this Bono/U2 fan.
Sorry, but fact is facts. Not one band, not one singer agreed to the concert. Where is Michael, Where is Cynadl etc. As Bob would say, This is Bollocks! Those Who sang in "Feed The World" & appeared in the live concert. NOT ONE. I send love x
MrBudzini Your statement is inaccurate. Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, Darryl Hall (USA for Africa), George Michael, Bono, Sting (Band Aid), plus many others.
The song isn't called"Feed The World", it's called"Do They Know It's Christmas". Many artists appeared who took part in the original in 1984 were also at the concert❤
To the millennials out there interested in music event history: first thing in understanding live aid - do NOT confuse it with Woodstock.
Haha, except for both having ridiculously good line-ups!
If the millennials you speak of have their heads screwed on, they'll work that out for themselves pretty easily.
Yes exactly dude😀

And I attended Live Aid at Wembley, 1985. We knew…

2. Kelly Marie - Feels like I'm in love 1980
2:00 Ron Burgandy!
I came here to say this lol
If they tried to do this now, they would have to move it out of Philadelphia, or half the stars would be carjacked or the victim of a stray bullet.

I'm shocked you understood what Mrbudzini even said in order to respond lol
Queen owned London.!! They were awesome that day.!!!

I do remember live 8 and live earth but both were not as memorable as live aid which was the first global tv concert event broadcast live
Countdown To Live Aid 1985 TV program documentary 30
Hey Paul, Boy George wasn't at Live Aid, do you know why? I do know that he performed on the record in '84
He was in a bad way with drugs... and Culture Club stopped him.
Huge mistake to interview Graham. He didn't help at all with his artists. He was AGAINST the concert. A piece of garbage!
