Yea, it will be an interesting matchup next week. If GB wins tomorrow, then MN will be playing for the 1 seed and GB will be basically locked in the 6th spot. It'll be interesting no doubt. My brother and I are Viking's fans and my other brothers and sisters are Packer's. Normally my sister hosts for these games but Minnesota has won every time we've come over lol. So I doubt she wants us there this time.
To be honest I thought Sam Darnold was a bum until he came to the Vikings. Boy was I wrong. Dead wrong. Surround him with talented targets and give him some decent protection and he really shines. Tippin' my hat to Darnold. ! ✌❤
I am telling this everywhere. Sam is younger than Joe Burrow. He is executing at the elite level you are hoping you would eventually develop your rookie QB into, after a lost season to multiple surgeries. You would be foolish to let that bird in the hand go.
Its all about what price they can get Darnold at. What makes the Vikings so deft is getting value for players. Sam is playing amazing and we'd love to see him come back - but we need to ensure we are keeping him for a price that doesn't limit our ability to fill other gaps. I have a gut feeling Sam will be willing to stay in Minnesota, even if he has higher offers elsewhere, so he can keep his career on track.
Stop with the second surgery talk about JJ. How do these guys not know the truth by now. It was literally an injection to address swelling, NOT a second surgery. Also, it was a meniscus repair. They talk like he completely blew his knee out. Just stop with the sensationalism.
You cant compare what the 49er did with purdy to the vikings situation. First off Purday was on a rookie contract. second trey lance may have been a bust, but there's no way you can say mccarthy is a bust. We have yet to see him play, and the limited time we did see him play, he looked excellent. Before his injury, it was looking like he would overtake Darnold and start the season.
I think at some point the Minnesota Vikings will need a superbowl caliber QB. The map to success is historically in front of our faces. Delete these small stat goals and win bowl period.
Never underestimate the Viking's ability to screw up their QB situation in order to insure a QB controversy can't happen. This is a team that once had no O line and in Keenum, had a QB that could improvise off that. What did they do? Let Keenum AND Bridgewater go and put a statue in Cousins in at great cost to get slaughtered his first year here. If you have a plan B, your plan A can be criticized.
I'm not saying keeping him is the wrong decision but I haven't heard anyone mention that if Vikings do they will be giving up the "rookie qb contract benefit". Because the Vikings are light on draft capital they will need the cap space to bring in and keep the other 52 players of the team. Just saying that it should be kept in mind when we have to account for $45 million for the next three to four years.
I knew this system is a plug and play look at Mullens and Dobbs Cousins too so you guys have no idea what KOC teaches and players learn and trust me having the best wideout on the planet doesn't hurt either.
Vikings lets sam go bc they have JJ. Now Darnold has value and some team will pick him up (if he has a trash oline and offensive coordinator he plays like jets days imo) then vikings will get a decent comp pick next year while getting the same production from JJ at a fraction of the cost
I hope we learn our lessons with Kirk cousin Herschel Walker if Sam once an average salary fine but let not ask give him the farm the kitchen remember what happened with cousin we have JJ on the bench Sam also has my two best receivers addition running back the hell of a tight end that’s the team plus the coach coach any quarterback do not give out or sell the farm please
You guy have no idea what your talking about. Darnold was never the plan. He was a bridge qb they knew they were drafting a qb. Vikings cant pay another qb a shit tone of money. They learned with kirk and made the right decision moving on from him and now kwesi looks like a genuis. They will not pay Darnold unless they win a superbowl.
McCarthy is young enough to sit a few years behind Sam, they could have one hell of a qb room with Darnold, McCarthy, and Daniels
Packer fan here. I'm scared of MN but I know we can compete. GPG respect from GB

Viking fan here .
Packers are a better team then Detroit and Philadelphia.
There just as good as Minnesota.
It's anyone's game come this Sunday..SKOL
Vikings fan chiming in to say next week is gonna be a HELL of a game.
I'm a Vikings fan and the only two games I care about winning are against the packers 😂
You gotta love the vikings!

Think about how many ppl got drafted in bad situations and didn't get a second chance. Now they are forever busts
Jefferson can catch the ball from anyone and is very unselfished
Pretending like Justin is balling because of Sam is insane. He’s called with Nick Mullins he’ll be good regardless of his qb .

How is this even a conversation?! Did the rams move on from Warner? Did the Patriots move on from Brady?! Give me a break! Sam is now the man!

Jones McCarthy Mullens lets go
Why does JJ’s “second surgery” keep getting referred to as anything other than normal…GEBQUS wants that bag!!!

Tag and trade unless they go to the sb. Then sign a short deal.
Imagine if Darnold had an even average O line? We'd be 15-0

They are going to have one of the highest cap spaces next year, 76m.
Jefferson don't need your advice KWESI and KOC will do what they think is best we won't pay that money
I knew this system is a plug and play look at Mullens and Dobbs Cousins too so you guys have no idea what KOC teaches and players learn and trust me having the best wideout on the planet doesn't hurt either.
Cousins was an instant SuperBowl winner going to Atlanta benched by week 14 gtfo

With a rookie QB (JJM) AND KOC, yes they could have won against Seattle.
SKOL!

Saying the same thing about Cousins gtfo
Darnold has 1 All Pro on offense, Jefferson. Thats it. 49ers chose the wrong qb and vikings got lucky, better keep him, JJ is too risky and brittle.
