Sharp eye at 3:20 for the beauty of the white spider scurrying over the blue sand (or what I'm guessing is sand). And again at 7:32 with the bird perched over the beach washed by the waves followed soon after by the scene where the green of the leaf bits carried by the stream of ants mirrors the jungle's green back ground against the tans of the tree trunk. Then, the butterfly hovering over that brilliant orange flower pair. So many, many little gems.
Thanks for giving us another great tour of the big sights and the little sights of a beautiful country.

Well done.. Just got back from all of these places and its super sweet to see it all again... 2 days isnt long enough to see all of Tayrona and PLEASE NOTE!!! THE LENGTHS OF TRAVEL PROPOSED ON THE SIGNAGE MAY TECHNICALLY BE THE DISTANCE>>> FROM SATALITE>>> BUT NOT WALKING DISTANCE>>> THIS IS MOUNTAIN HIKING PEOPLE! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! Also, I am considerably agile, but taking the horses up and down these paths was exciting as it was unexpectedly challenging.

Hi Steve, have you ever heard from two lovely islands, called Providencia and Santa Catalina, hidden in the middle of the Caribbean sea? Both are an insular colombian province. Your 5000 inhabitants have a very particular origin: they are all blacks and in the past were slaves, deported from Nicaragua and Honduras. In spite of this, they are friendly when you ask something. The sensation you have, is that you are entering in another world in which the time has another dimension. The fact is that Providencia is far from the continent and only can arrive by SATENA a colombian company of planes or by ferry after 5 hours. The departures are from the island of San Andres. By plane are only 20 minutes. It is an special place for diving, due to the proximity of coral reefs, plenty of fishes from all colours you can imagine. Relevant are the lion fishes and sharks. The most beautiful beaches are Manzanillo and Fresh Water.
Also you can hike the Peak (only 600 meters), with a beautiful sight of al the island. Santa Catalina has an exciting historic past: as it was an strategic point, famous pirates like Sir Francis Drake, who sorrounded for several times the country and some legends tell us about hidden treasures in the island. To protect the island from pirates, some fortress were built. Nowadays you can admire the rests of Fort Warwick, with its canyons in the middle of the jungle. Hollands, frenchs and english invaders arrived in different times to the islands, so you can find the testimonial proves in every place you visit.
Crab cay is and special chapter: in this little island there is a little peak you can hike to the top and enjoy the most unbelieve sight from the different blue tones of the Caribbean sea.The reggae (Bob Marley) can be listen in every place. Due to local regulations, there are only little hotels. People speak english, spanish and creole, a mix from the two languages. The wooden houses follow the caribean spirit. My wife and I, spent 5 unforgetable days in these delightful island. Are there not enough reasons to visit the lost island in the Caribean sea?. Best regards and thank you for sharing your trips.

Is there a greater risk for parasites in the jungle and waterways? Is the water safe to drink?

    • @davidalejandro2958
      @davidalejandro2958 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Donna, I don't understand what you mean when you say "parasites in the jungle"... There is not parasites in these kind of jungles, but If you haven't been in these places before, It is a good idea to vaccinate against Fiebre Amarilla, wich is an ilness caused by stings of a specific mosquito, but Is is actually very rare to get sick because of that. And If there is safe to drink water from the faucet, well, most of people do it, I am sure that many people in this places are used to doing this and they don't get ill. Of course the water is treated in the aqueduct but It is likely to find parasites. It depends of the place but generally, in touristic places, you can drink the water directly from the tap, but you should ask for recomendations in every place you go

Moreover, tourism in Costa Rica represents a big part of the national economy. This is not only beaches, In this video you have a sanctuary of flora and fauna in an impressive ecosystem and very close of this site, there are mountains where coffee plants grows up! This is part of the biodiversity of the country... you did not understand the content..sorry for you
