You are a great teacher. Love how detailed you are. As a newbie, you have been VERY helpful. Thank you. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Wow, this is the first hour long video that I’ve ever watched all the way until the end! Such a helpful, informative video that I couldn’t find anywhere else! And I LOVE how honest and down to earth you are! You gained a subscriber for that alone! Thankyou so much, you are amazing and such an easygoing person and I love that so much about you!
I love your perspective into this and can tell how kind and humble you are! Im a beginner lash tech and hearing your kind words really helps a lot! At the moment my business is so slow but I keep seeing other lash artists being booked up and I am just hoping I get there someday too! I hope you start posting again!🥰
OMG!! I can’t find words to explain what I am feeling right now. I watched your video as I am sitting at my desk(I work from home) and I practice on my fans on my down time. I’ve been getting better but this video made me feel like a damn master at fanning. And you’re so right about practicing and time because I’ve given up like 3xs already and I keep coming back. You’re a lash queen!! Thanks for being so transparent and honest. I’ve purchased a lot from you and I am happy with your lashes. The only problem Ive had has been with the hydrogel patches not sticking to my clients and I haven’t used them again. I purchased the .04 and they’re A-M-A-Z-I-N-G used them while watching this video. I definitely need help understanding retention, I use your primer and bonder but sometimes I can’t understand what’s going on!! Next item to purchase will definitely be your adhesive. XOXO from Dallas, I hope you come to Tx soon!
I love how you said , its so many people faking,, I'm one of those people who is very hard on myself and the people that has been in this industry for years are making the newbies feel like omg how can u not get this, i have been doing hair since i was 12 and sometimes i have a hard time.. but honety is everything.
Omg!! Haha this is what I 𝐻𝐴𝑇𝐸𝐸 about “pinchers“ - they ALWAYS make it look so, so easy!!! I just can’t get the hang of it, no matter how much I practice! 😤 Thank you for the tips & the video though! Hopefully this is the “missing piece” and I’ll finally get the technique down!! ❤❤❤ xoxo
Thank you SO much Dwanna!! I’m so happy it helped you!!! I was SO that girl, too. AND the last to ‘get it’ in every class. I know how frustrating it is!!! So glad it helped 🥰🥰🥰
Holy moly! Thank you SO much! I really really appreciate that. Don’t give up! It’s hard for everyone at first. I promise. And sometimes it’s hard after years. People just don’t like when people think they’re struggling so they pretend it’s all so wonderful 🥰🥰🥰
I would love to see an attachment video by you with this kind of detail!! You really have a great way of explaining things. I keep hearing contradictions about placement with lashes that are either crystallized or Pre/pro made. Some say only attach underneath. Others - only on top and then others - to the side. I’d love to see your technique! Thanks for all you do!!
OK that is a great idea! I am putting it on my list! You will get fantastic attention if you place it properly. But I think that there are different areas on the Iowa different method should be used… Just it looks nice and clean. But again totally just my opinion… But I have just done so many trial and error and seeing what works best for my clients… And I would love to share that with you guys!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot and that was really really sweet of you to say. I really appreciate that that more than you know! I’m really happy that this is so helpful for you!
I tbh wasn't thinking that the video would help me cz I'm having such a hard time doing fans but it actually did, it's so much easier for me now! Thank you sooo much💗💗💗
Omg!! Thank you so much! I thought the thicker side of the fans meant I was doing them wrong 😂 Thank you for the info. The more you know makes it so much easier and makes you feel so confident 💕 this is the first time I’ve seen any of your videos, where do YOU usually place your fans? Side, top, bottom??? 😊
NGL! Day 1 at breaking out my practice lash kit & already I feel like I am ssoo blessed I ran across your video!!! Can't wait to see how my lash journey goes! ✌️💖
I just took my training last weekend and you have by far become my favorite channel! My question: for a spike..exact same process except for skipping opening your tweezer to open the fan? Would you crystallize the exact same way?
You totally can! I think it just depends on whatever your preference is. My personal preference is to wrap the spike because it’s really easy to do. So I just pull the spike off dip it into the glue and go straight to the pre-isolated natural lash. But it doesn’t have to be done that way… I think that it’s just quicker to do it this way. I am so excited… I am going to Texas to train with my friend Chris (That Lash Guy) pro… And we are going to try to each other on our best method so that we can both offer each other’s styles. It’s going to be so awesome because I’m really excited to be able to offer the flower bouquet method!
Oh my gosh thank you so much! I know I need to do more videos… I just need to find the time but I promise I will! Thank you so much for all of your comments!
I greatly appreciate how vulnerable you are when it comes to accepting not everyone will get it right away but it’s not impossible. I struggle with the pinching method because of my sweaty hands, my base is skinny in the front but kind of bigger in the back. Is it supposed to be that way according to this tutorial? If so I’ve been really hard on myself for no reason 😂
Oh my gosh if you struggle with pinching, you should follow us on TickTock! We are just @socolashes And we are doing a free workshop on pinching I believe it’s Wednesday, September 21 at 11:30 AM Pacific standard time? You can head to your Instagram and our TickTock to figure out the date… And we also have the option to buy a $99 kit and you also will get a certificate of completion! But you totally don’t have to buy anything to follow along and you can use your own product if you want!
Oh my gosh!! Two things! First- I’m SO sorry I missed your comment. I really appreciate you coming by and supporting my page. And two, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really appreciate you!!!! It’s been two decades in the making and it’s really special to us ✨✨✨
I am so glad I found your videos I was about to give up because it's so hard for me to even make a fun the tools that I get on Amazon there are so horrible I need to find a good resource for my tools my lashes you say they need to be good product will you please tell me what's the good product on lashes and thank you
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has taken so many volume classes and not gotten it! Question- if you crystallize then you can’t wrap, right? I thought wrapping was super important for retention.
You’re SO not alone!!! Okay so this is the endless debate; who’s work holds up better: Russian Volume or Wrapping. I don’t think either will ever admit who is better! Haha but I think a physical wrap with the lashes (when the lashes wrap around the NL) OR a physical wrap with the adhesive (using enough to wrap around the NL) are the same. It has more to do with a perfect placement and the proper amounts of the correct adhesive than anything. 😍
They likely have glue in the tips. Even if there is one hair stick in between it will throw off your grub because it’s so precise. Just clean the tips. I’ll post a short to show and EASY way to speak the tips, even if they look completely clean. You’d be surprised at how much comes off! 😍
Couod you do a videos on fanning small mom lengths like 7mm -9mm I find it so hard I find the glue travels up the lashes and makes the fan stick to the tweezers
I have a friend that does some times have a reaction to the glue, so she bought Flonase and uses it a few minutes before her appointment and it’s been helping with the reaction so far
I learned fanning off the strip when I took my volume course and didn’t like it/ pick on it very well and have had better luck with pinching. But ever so often the lashes “jump/cross over” when I release tension trying to create a fan and I don’t know how to recover it enough so I have to toss it. Can you tell me where I’m going wrong? I definitely feel like I struggle on the release for the fanning.
So you think it’s your tweezers? If the pick up is off and the they aren’t perfectly balanced, this can happen. If you want a tweezer discount code, let me know!!!
How can I email you what you said in the beginning really touched me and I would really like to email you ? I’m not sure how I don’t have social media besides TH-cam and TikTok but you mentioned being able to email you and that you actually respond yourself ! Can you point me into the direction where I can find information to email you ! ❤❤😊
I can’t thank you enough!! classes are so expensive and for someone like me who is just starting it seems almost impossible to save enough money. Again thank you it means the world! 🥹🤎
Hey so I’m having trouble with opening the tweezer just a tiny bit to create the fan. I seem to be opening it to much where the lashes just fall out the tweezer. If you get wat I’m saying wat should I do?
Hi!!! What tweezers are you using? It could be the tweezers. If they’re not perfectly balanced it won’t allow the fan to create itself properly. If you send me an email at jena@socolashes.com we are changing our tweezers to one for $35 or 2 for $40! This will be our tweezers prices indefinitely 🥰 It could also be the lashes. Quality of tweezers and lashes are really important. I prefer our SOCO .04 lashes because they do half of the work for you.
These are obviously gorgeous but MOBILESTYLES #clients sometimes notice these #lashesextensions fall faster than smaller fans. Thank you for the #lashestutorial. 🌞
I hear you about shaking but I ran out of batteries for my glue shaker last month and ever one who came back had worst retention not bad but not as good.

But cyanoakrylate is posinus to the human body, arent yall scared to get contact allergy after a while lashing like this for years?
I see people who have been doing it for over a decade, myself for 8 years. I don’t have yet a sensitivity, but that’s a. Great question!
I have a friend that does some times have a reaction to the glue, so she bought Flonase and uses it a few minutes before her appointment and it’s been helping with the reaction so far
