    You are describing me. My anger has made me very disrespectful to my husband. I was good to my ex while he treated me badly, but I’m now horrible to the most wonderful man on earth. I must always find fault with everything he does. I’m too critical and loud. I want to change. I’m also tired of my behaviour. God help me! 🙏🏾. I need this book 😢

    I think the most amazing thing in ministry is when pastors bare their scars. Jesus doesn't call perfect folks. He calls us the way we are and it's for just ONE reason- so we can bring people to Him by showing them how He changed our lives. Any book, I repeat ANY BOOK that contains scars borne open will go a long way; and I sincerely think one of the books to be the most successful in ministry has just been written! Thank you Pas. Eno Jerry for baring your scars. You will always have audience and I'm not praying. It's the result of doing what you have so graciously done!

    This was so me! It wasn't what I saw growing up necessarily, but the many failed relationships I had where I got used, and was taken advantage of, and I felt worthless. My husband is a very calm and patient, passionate person...and I really tried him. But I saw a problem when he stopped smiling, and I was bringing tears to his eyes. I knew that I had to change and so my journey has begun. It is better now, but it is ongoing. I thank Yah for His guidance and correction. I thank Yah for my Husband.

    Born again is the first work of Grace, the second work of Grace is cleansing of the adamic nature or inherited sin which is called Sanctification. This is where many Christians fails. So we need to pray hard until we are cleansed or sanctified. Note that Born again is like cutting the trunk of a tree while Sanctification is like uprooting the tap root of the tree.

      The word of God is the perfect "personality test". The book of James says the word of God is a mirror..showing us who we are. The word of God says we should mortify the works of the flesh. All these bad characters are the works of the flesh That we all need to deal with. God help us.

    • @Oreoluwa
      @Oreoluwa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personality tests are worldly constructs made by man that put you in a box and barely give any room for growth. We should seek to define ourselves and a holy institution such as marriage by God Himself not my manmade designs.

I've been praying and taking conscious steps asking God for help. Today I prayed more on this topic and just this afternoon God answered me with this session....I've been shouting Jesus since because mama Eno you acted exactly like me, if my man sees this interview he will say this is my woman😭😭😭😭😭 I'm rushing to get this book and I believe by getting to see this interview, God has started the journey of changing me. My respect for her husband went sky-high, coupled with the fact that he was a pastor, successful in ministry. I mean he was a very bright light in the east on international assignments, and having to deal with this! We urgently, desperately, need to hear Pst Jerry's side- how did he process all of it? how did he deal with it? how did he stay on despite??

    In my opinion, I believe a lot of our relationships need professional counseling for both individuals and couples not just church counseling alone. Also, this should be done before and after marriage.

    • @luvfilmsmaking
      @luvfilmsmaking 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely agree with you. My fiance and I are currently in counseling. We started prior to the engagement and we will continue after the marriage. What counseling has taught us are truly deep. Root issues in our courtship, that can easily transfer into the marriage and eventually lead to divorce. I implore singles and engaged couples to go to therapy before saying "I Do". We need to fight for FOREVER again. There are too many divorces out here and we're in the place to stop divorce. Premarital counseling at church is not enough. That's the prescription. Therapy calls out your flaws and behaviors that may potentially harm the marriage in the future and it focuses you to change for you and also for the marriage

    • @BuksO7

    Women should also research PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME. The level of hormones in your body before your period can negatively affect your mood, anger management etc.
    I control mine through prayer (spiritual) and multivitamins with B vitamins (practical). I take these about 1 week leading to my period (well woman multivitamin) and during the duration of my period.

      As a teenager who is just coming into puberty, PMS and the attendant anger cum bad attitude can be excused but as for someone who has been experiencing this for a while, you must master the act of controlling anger/bad attitude resulting from PMS.
      Personally, as a teenager, the first thing i worked on when i came into puberty was the mood swings. I became very intentional about it and after a few months practice, i perfected it and i have gotten to the point where i don't have to even try. My body already knows not to go into any foul mood when i am expecting or on my period.
      In summary, what i am saying is this, self awareness is key. When we are self aware, we can train our bodies and hormones to whatever we want them to be. If it becomes difficult, the Holy Spirit is available to help.

    The marriage survived and was restored because there was one party who was mature, rock solid despite being on the receiving end and interceding ie the husband (Pastor Jerry) without him seeking the face of God during those difficult moments I bet it would have gone wrong because he too is human and no one has an endless reservoir of patience and endurance. At some time we all reach our breaking point because you cannot really change anybody. Interesting..quite frankly it is during this post lockdown I "discovered" this wonderful woman of God and Pastor Jerry Eze and their ministries..It's a wonder how the Lord is "introducing" new faces in our generation ( at least to some of us in other parts of Nigeria). From this conversation, it seems this book can also apply to those who are about to get married and singles ..even relationship with close friends and siblings that live together in the same space..

    Premarital counseling may not be enough to solidify a marriage. My fiance and I are currently in therapy. We started prior to the engagement and we will continue after the marriage. What therapy has taught us are truly deep. Root issues in our courtship that can easily transfer into the marriage and eventually lead to divorce. I implore singles and engaged couples to go to therapy before saying "I Do". We need to fight for FOREVER again. There are too many divorces out here and we're in the place to stop divorce. Premarital counseling at church is not enough. That's the prescription. Therapy calls out your flaws and behaviors that may potentially harm the marriage in the future and it forces you to change for you and also for the marriage

I went in prayers (am.a Christian mind you,bit my ATTITUDE was so.EVIL). GOD revealed my heart & am working on it.. I have anger issues,unforgiveness,bitterness,rejection,all of it...and all these came by staying with my mom for 15 years,who was angry coz my Dad left her & put the blame on me.that resulted in that person I became. Pray for me brethren for GOD'S love to touch my heart.....What his lady is talking about is exactly what I went through. My Wife has the same challenges, she has left me, every time I try correcting her, she justifies her actions and behavior, her friends continue to validate her weaknesses, she has not recognized that she has a problem and it emanates from her past. I pray everyday that God opens her eyes to see the truth, because right now I am like an enemy to her, she has a lot of bitterness and unforgiveness, and she believes in vindicating herself and she is a Christian. I will be still and let God do His work, HE KNOWS THE END BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF ANYTHING, that He allows to come into existence, the end of it has already been determined. I'm praying for you my Sister that God heals you and continue to lead you for his purposes, and I am happy that you have seen the light and you are working on your issues, and I pray that your Fiancé be patient. I'll buy and courier this book to my Wife.

    I really love your dynamism and how invoved u are and all but please allow the guest to speak, please do not interrupt the guest and please please do not finish her sentences. I know ur trying to stay involved and its really great but its very disturbing for the listners. When u interupt the guest and finish their sentences, their thought process is interrupted and we see it in her speech. Sometimes she ends her sentence abruptly. I see that a lot of people mentioned this in the comment section. We're not trying to bash u or anything. On the contrary i really like youu and ur energy . Im just not able to enjoy the convo as much if theres constant interruptions. So please take note for ur future interviews

    And you said let it come to your mind that they can talk to you anyhow, and you will not be disturbed

    The way I overcame was that when the Holy Spirit revealed to me that my anger issues could destroy my life and I didn't know how to get rid of it or work on it, I surrendered the anger. I surrendered it and kept asking the Holy Spirit about why I was getting angry and I allowed God show me those things without being defensive. One of the things God showed me was that I wanted things to go my way...
    I spent time in prayer whenever I remember the issues. One day, I woke up and I felt very light and free and then I realised God had taken something away from my subconscious and that thing was PAIN.
    So many of us are carrying pain in our hearts and we're wounded and that's affecting the way we're reacting to people and to situations but God wants to heal us if we will spend time with him in conversation.

    This title got my attention after I woke up. I didn’t even realize it was Pastor Jerry. Thank you for this video and I will get this book for myself. Maybe it was God wanted me to see this. I am a recent divorce wife of 17yrs of marriage, God had to bring me to a place also to take a deep inner look at myself. I never had the right counseling but it is the Holy Spirit counseling me.

    Wow...I need to read this book! But what happens when both couples are hot headed and the woman is seriously struggling to step low to make the marriage work?

    I cannot explain how it is good to hear your testimony. Because marriage can be hard and hurtful when you don't know what you are doing is wrong. And it's more hurtful when your spouse corrects you without a solution because they don't understand or maybe they are going through a change process as well. But don't give up you have to pray and do the research as if your life depended on it. Find out what are you doing wrong and change it. The change process is challenging but stay focused on being a excellent wife and to maintain the change. She is right it comes with understanding and knowing God. If you allow yourself to grow spiritually during the change and research of it the growth will be so powerful. Pray , fast , research. And you will find that not only are you a excellent wife now , you are also closer to God and spiritually mature. You might not understand at the time but God knows you and loves you. It might be painful but your end result will be joyful. Im sharing this testimony with you because God has been so good to me and I myself also had to overcome this challenge. But we made it and my marriage is better than it has ever been. God did not give up on me and I did not give up on my husband. Praise God. May God bless you and your marriage for sharing a part of your life and testimony with us @Enojerry.
