Hi Bill! Hi Lisa!! Anyone who travels with you is definitely lucky! I love how you stay true to the folks and support their businesses, whenever you travel into Mexico. Every single dish you all ate, in all three ports, looked delicious! Even though I’m of Japanese descent, I didn’t grow up eating Japanese food. I grew up pretty much eating mostly Mexican food. I hope to hop onto the 7 day Mexican Rivera cruise again one day, so I can visit the places that you folks love. Thanks for sharing!!
You're very welcome, Mary! As you know, we love to venture out a bit when visiting different ports and love to try where locals eat. We also like to eat at touristy spots, but there's always something special when visiting the small mom & pop shops. You'll love the Panorama, you should do it!!

Earlier port departures at the end of cruises is due to passengers gaining about a pound a day (multiplied by several thousand passengers) slows down the max speed to return home :-)

'Just wondered that given the ship was berthed in port, it could be that Cabo has restricted depth and the ship is reliant on the tides to make it out of port safely...? Then again, it could be that the shipping line needs to leave early to get to the next port by 0700 the next day? It would be interesting to find the real reason. Paz

I have one week till my Carnival Panorama cruise. I am dieting big time till the cruise to make a preemptive strike on the weight gain I expect onboard. I cannot watch this anymore; it is giving me hunger pains. The tacos look so amazing!

Love your cruise videos. Brings back memories of my trips. In Puerto Vallarta, there were so many more vendors when you got off the ship but that was long before the pandemic.

Wow! I remember going on that same cruise back in 91, I think it was called the “Mexican Riviera” cruise. My dad worked out of El Toro base & they had a package that started at the base & dropped us off at San Pedro. I do agree & remember that PV was the longest stay I think it was 6+hrs? Then Mazatlan was shorter @ 4hrs & then CSL was only 2hrs at most. I remember if you didn’t wake up in time you basically just missed it which is what happened to us, cuz we partied in Mazatlan!!! When we arrived back Laguna Hills was totally on fire, if anyone remembers those years! Thanks for doing this video!!

I will be in PV Jan/feb for 2 weeks. Can’t wait!
Love your videos. The reason that you have a short time in Cabo is you’re hitting on the way BACK to L.A. Find a cruise line that has later stops. For example, Royal Caribbean arrives at 12:30 and stays until 8:00. We’re cruising on the Celebrity Solstice in December and we have an overnight in Cabo. We arrive at around noon on one day and leave at 5:00 the next afternoon. We get have dinner ashore. Princess also arrives around noon. NCL is another cruise line that arrives early and leaves at around 2:00. Looking forward to your other cruise videos. Thanks for sharing.

When you guys go back to Vegas you have to visit the AYCE Buffet at the Palms Casino on the Hawaiian night. The food looks amazing.
We saw that, looks good. But, the special buffet may be different each month from what we understand.

I get so homesick for Mexico watching your videos! We used to stay at The Inn at Mazatlan for a few weeks each year. Friends caught fish and the chef at the restaurant on the property prepared several dishes. Nothing beats the fresh caught fish in Mazatlan! I highly recommend an extended resort stay to visit all the excellent restaurants in the area. Same for Puerto Vallarta.

Not exactly sure why your onboard time was cut so short in Cabo, but just a while back, there was heavy news regarding how dangerous it is/was for U.S. citizens traveling into Mexico, especially as you get closer to the U.S. border. I think Cabo was one of the cities mentioned.
I went on that same Mexican Riviera cruise last Christmas on Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas. Cabo was so nice. That was our first stop.
Apparently it's because of the time it takes to get back to Long Beach. Agreed, Cabo is very nice.
Hi Bill! Hi Lisa! Hi everybody! This was exciting to watch! Loved seeing all the food places…look at those colossal monster shrimps! Definitely thinking of maybe going on one of these cruises if I could eat a sea of shrimp ceviche!!! Lol! Nice to see a lot of great places near the ship in case not enough shore time. Thanks for the tip about bringing US dollars or some foreign currency…kinda of a bummer if you like a certain port you need to hustle to make it back in time…thank you to all the family for sharing your travel adventures! Allows us newbies to consider cruising! Now Bill was that mini sandwich from bakery almost like a hockey puck? Just curious when you return to ship, do they get mad if you bought too much stuff to bring back…like cooked food? Stay safe everyone!
Thanks Arlene! We're finding out from the comments here, our stay in Cabo is short because of time to get back to Long Beach. There are other cruise lines that stop at Cabo first, allowing extra time there. The mini sandwich was pretty good, bun was a bit dry, but can't really complain for the price. We didn't bring any cooked food per say back to the ship, only baked goods, and they had no issues with it.

I have heard that they leave at 1:30 because of the cost of their porting in Cabo San Lucas. I’ve heard that it is expensive for the cruise lines to stay later.
We thought that too, but lots of comments here say it's because of the time it takes to get back to Long Beach.
We did that cruise in February. They switched the order of stops just prior to that cruise. I read it’s the propulsion system on the Panorama. Need enough time to make it back to Long Beach. But agree the Cabo stop is way too short.
Had a feeling it was about time to get back to Long Beach.

Another entertaining video, the food looked fantastic, was wondering how do the tacos there compare with Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas?
Honestly, we love them all! We enjoy all the differences in the way the food is prepared and presented.
The unfortunate early departure is to glad them time to make Los Angeles in a day.
I was just on that cruise last week and I was told the stay was so short due to the very High port fee's that Cabo charges the cruise ships.
Not sure if it is true but it made sense because we would have liked to stay longer.
Most comments here said it's because of the time it take to get back to Long Beach. Other Carnival itineraries stop at Cabo first for a full day, so it may not have to do with port fees.
I enjoyed your video, I just wish you would have made it clear the names and locations of the places you ate at so that us readers can go too!
If you cruise opposite Cabo first it allows you more time. We go every year. Try it out the other way you will like it!!
For Carnival, seems like Cabo is always the last stop.
We are going January 7th on Carnival Panorama Cabo is first. They seem to be the January cruises. You just have to look for those unicorn cruises 😂

Shrimp Factory is located in the Golden Zone, think that was stop #4 for us.
