No, only ensure that the wood shavings used to replace the wet had been disinfected. I always disinfect them in the barns before putting the excess in plastic bags so that I can use immediately incase of any emergencies.
@@Meatchickens thanks alot ....I asked a few questions about the Aqua Acid mineral but I haven't got a reply ....would u please look into it... I just bought the acid mineral and would like clarification before using it . Thanks a bunch
It is a very good especially during feed transitions. But you have to use it as a therapy. Follow the instructions on the container. And use the strip that it came with to check for the best pH.
It takes one week to place chicks in all 4 barns and about a week and half to empty them. They are removed according to arrival or placement dates. Usually, 1st barns is 3 days older than the 2nd and 3rd while the 2&3 are in turn 3 days older than the 4th. So, after 6 weeks it's only logical to start removing from the 1st so that by the time I get to the 4th, it's also ready.
