Caitlin Doughty is amazing. A while ago when she was celebrating the publication of her last book, someone asked her what the best question she had ever received was. She gave an example from a kid--then said randomly that she had suggested to her publisher that she'd love to write a humorous book about death for kids, but her publisher just wasn't into it. The audience erupted in excitement. She looked startled, and pointed to her publisher(who was in the audience) and said, "SEE?" I am so pleased that the book actually came to fruition!
Last week I came across your channel and binged as many hauls and tags as I could. I've been avidly consuming more nonfiction over the past year and I was thrilled to find a channel so enthusiastic about it! And and now you're reviewing one of my most anticipated reads! I love your channel--it's delightful, watchable, and informative and I am really happy to hear your thoughts on this book. Can't wait to pick up a copy. ❤️
I HAVE to read this with my two kids now, who are already pretty tickled by all things morbid. Awesome! Hope you can explore more nonfiction for kids on your channel in the future, I love this! :)
I read this today in pretty much one go (very slow day at work lol) and it was so fun! I liked Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, but I liked this one even better. I really need to get around to reading her middle book soon!
Thanks. I'm an amateur librarian for a group of people supporting each other through major paradigm changes and it's common to ask how to teach children without the frameworks and resources they once had. I've passed this book along.
I love Caitlyn. I preordered the book and it comes with a pin of her head ... I’ve been lucky enough to see her speak a few times. She’s just as fantastic in real life.
The thumbnail had me CACKLING 😂 this book sounds so good. I grew up going to a bunch of funeral so I learned about death early on, but my SO had never been to a funeral until last year and doesn’t know how to process death. I’m totally getting this book now 💜

I just got my copy this weekend! I love Caitlin Doughty. She is such an awesome woman. She has made me rethink my own death and death in general.
Totally agree! I'm such a huge fan of hers :)
What a lovely review! I'm planning one on this book as well, I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Also, LOVE the thumbnail!!!

I love Caitlin Doughty's TH-cam channel!
I have this book on TBR stack. And Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.

Great review! I listened to Smoke Gets in Your Eyes on scribd and loved it. I definitely want to get to this one as well.

You’ve convinced me! Fantastic review.
I just saw that my library ordered this! I’ll definitely be checking it out!
First of all, that's one of the best titles. I love it. I haven't read any of her books but think I will add to my reading list.
I've just read it today and loved it so much. Thanks for the recommendations!

Just placed my library hold! I loved her other books and her TH-cam channel so I'm excited.
At last, a book that answers the important questions!

All of her books are on my TBR list because of you! I hope to get to at least one of them during Nonfiction November.
Another great review! Will be picking that one up. See, this is why I featured you on the blog. I'm @BoneSparkBlog btw.
Def on my tbr!
It is on my radar
