Love to see more a-ha reactions. I think you should react to some of their live performances (as they are one of the most brilliant live bands EVER... and that is a first hand opinion of someone who's seen them live many many times). Brilliant.
Aha are the best band ever. ive been an aha fan since the take on me days back in 1985 i was 16 then i’m 53 now and still love them just as much. Aha are a very underrated and unappreciated band in my opinion. The have a huge back catalogue and each aha song is different from the previous one. Thanks for the aha reaction. Take care 🏴🇳🇴😘
Thx for watching the show Alison ❤️ We love A-HA and I've been hooked on them since 1985 also. Pure Legends in my book , thank you Norway 🇳🇴 Cheers from Dallas and you take care also ❤️✌🏼
Woo! I think Pål is a hugely underrated talent. Songwriter, producer, player… I just got “a-ha: The Movie” dvd from Amazon! First time with English subtitles! Now I need to find and hook up my old SuperDrive since none of my computers have a disc drive anymore. 😘😎 Update! You can rent it on streaming services now. Might be worth it so I don’t have to dig out the SuperDrive! 🤣
HUGE fan of theirs, they are so underrated in the US. I would recommend Analogue or Cannot Hide. They're not as well known even amongst their fans but I LOVE these songs. Dad-Love your taste in music. My sister & I have been indoctrinating my 8yr old nephew into new wave- DM, Erasure, New Order.
Yaay!! Ty likes an a-ha song! They are so much more than Take On Me. Morten is by far the best ever vocalist (IMHO). Absolutely gutted this week - was due to see them live twice in 4 days, but the shows were cancelled because Morten has laryngitis :-(
I saw someone react to a fab live version of Summer Moves On! I’m sure someone knows the best live video and link better than I?! That record breaking note is fantastic!
@@robertvallered4259 Nice one, what did you have? 😃 I like/really like all thier stuff, esp their milkshakes! Whereabouts in Sweden you from buddy? + you ever been to the UK?
Lovely to see that it twitches in Ty's body. This time you got it, dad! Scoundrel Days is a fantastic album. "Manhattan Skyline" is a banger, "Scoundrel Days" is another great song and "Cry wolf" is something, too. Are you going for a newer song next time I would suggest "Analogue" live in Frognerparken or of course "Summer moved on". My choice would be Vallhall, Oslo 2001 - live. Or maybe not. Morten is showing his chest that night, so it might be best to go with Oslo Spektrum 2010 ;) .
Love to see a reaction to anything other then "Take On Me". I get it,its so massive a hit that it is all over the place, even in MeMes,Gifs and what the cool kids call everything today. But A-Ha is sooooo much more then "Take On Me",and to me thats not even theyr best song (i love it myself, but it has been played to death lol) People ask me why they havent heard of any Norwegian artists after Morten,Paal and Magne. 3 guys way back in the 90s that got together because they shared the same future musical goals and passion,on top of having the greatest chemistry right from the very start. They had confidence in themselfs too, wich is a big no no in Scandinavian countires. Sweden might have dealt with "the jante law" the best, they seem to have pulled themselfs from it. But Norway is still "mentally handicapped" by it,maybe some of Denmark is still too,i dont know. Here is some interesting facts,it has been an ongoing subject to discuss, even amongst business people within the music industry: "What does Norway do wrong, that keeps getting theyr artists fail in achieveving "world dominance",like A-Ha did?" This is an interesting fact i got from fans of various Norwegian artists/bands,from outside Norway: "We have serious difficulties finding any band updates,at least in English there is nothing (wich they would be able to understand) We also have difficulties buying merch/albums and such,as the hits are mostly from Norwegian stores, and the shipping would just make it too expensive (some go ahead and support regardless) They discover that many of the artists/bands YT videos are region blocked in theyr country (reactors experience that theyr reactions gets blocked and in extreme cases they suffer channel strikes from it) In other words, fans say that it is difficult to stay up to date and support Norwegian artists/bands they randomly discovered online f.ex. Theese artists/bands has the same drive, passion, talent etc as A-Ha has,but it seems like theyr record labels (and theyr third party contacts),maybe even theyr own managements are screwing things up for them. So thats why it might seem odd that us Norwegians still cling onto A-Ha as something we are proud of,but the fact is....its the only ones that "made it". It is like a curse has been over Norwegian artists since the mid 80s and till this very day. A very strange phenomenon.... One of my favourite songs by A-Ha: The blood that moves the body (that could have easily been in a thriller, action movie as the main soundtrack song,im amazed its not a bigger hit then Take On Me) Lifelines (Alot calmer then many of theyr songs, but its such a beautiful song, and amazing lyrics) Move To Memphis, You Are The One (The guys shows abit of theyr goofy, comedic sides) & I Call Your Name (to name a few) A band that was said to take over the throne after A-Ha,was Briskeby. And like so many other artists/bands they split up due to "low interest and not enough record sales". When i tried to look up theyr videos through "American hosted servers",many of theyr videos came up blocked. If you get a chance to listen to any of theyr songs, its basically pop-rock like A-Ha but with a female vocalist in Lise Karlsnes. Ironically though,in Black Metal and other sub metal genres,Norwegian bands are thriving. Once it becomes "popular music",it seems to be "same old, same old"..... There is however a duo now that really tries, and has gained a fanbase over in the states. They just released theyr newest video. Nico & Vinz -Peace (Lyrics are perfect for what we have seen around the world the last few years, and in the start of 2022) They had a massive hit a few years back with "Am I Wrong". Sorry for the length,i just went on a "explanation soapbox" lol. I love seeing family members jump in and reacting together,i like the vibe from you both.🥰
Wow!! really awesome insight 😎 "the Jante law" is definitely fascinating, not sure most Americans would understand anything like that. I love a-ha, many Americans do as well.
