      The best time to sell gold is the week before and during Gond. I'm not really sure if any other event makes a big difference. You can still sell throughout the year for a decent price, though.

    Good video but you have two mistakes right off the start. On PC it takes 2-3 times as long to log in and invoke. As soon as you log in your alert tracker counts up all the items that appear in your workshop delivery box. During this time you can look at your workshop and see them popping in but you cannot collect them, invoke or change zones until it has counted through all the items.
    Other things I noticed was when you're using morale the item and selector defaults to the top. On PC when you are rushing items in that menu they change position randomly so you have to wait, watch where it comes then click the rush; otherwise you will rush items that you don't want rushed.
    Third mistake I've seen from everyone who claims potions are better than masks is delivery box space and gold/artificer/time. A mask gains significantly more gold per delivery box slot and per artificer-hour than any other item. On the flip side potion STACKS give more gold per inventory bag slot. So the choice between the 2 is if you can collect enough times a day and have the right -75% commission artisans to make value.
    Personally i make masks b/c i can generally only collect once or maybe even twice a day AND I don't want to bother juggling multiple reagents.
    Solid work on this though you damn sweatshop owner....

      @gusarcher5446  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It takes 2 to 3 times longer to invoke on PC? Interesting. I've seen players who can invoke on 53 toons under 5 minutes. Perhaps different computers have different speeds?

      Towards the end of the week, the item selector starts changing for me. When it does, it's such a huge pain. It does create some errors and eat up some time.

    • @ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095
      @ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Visors give a slightly better _percentage_ return on investment. These potions save hugely on time, risk of injury and we can have dozens of stacks of 99 in inventory before you have to sell each stack for almost 30 gold.
      If you're quick and there's some lag, you can collect multiple times before you can invoke. I was doing it with Ingots for Gond. You have to click "Collect" and press 1 to say Yes to spend 5 Morale and keep clicking.
      It does take longer to invoke on PC, though. I can do 36 in 6 minutes, 11 minutes if there's slight lag.

      Hi! I had the same reservations in the past, but let me makes some counter points:
      1. The first invoke of the day does indeed add time due to the calculations. However, this is directly affected by your computer speed, internet connection speed, the load time of the zone you spawn into and the number of players/items in that zone. Ebon Downs is great because it takes noticeably less time to load than other zones. PE is much higher (and Wildspace seems currently the worst). I, unfortunately, have an extremely good internet connection and have all of my toons in Ebon Downs, so I almost never see items loading into the delivery box when I open it. It's "unfortunate" only in that it keeps me from taking advantage of the crafting trick ansfridaeyowulfsottir8095 mentioned in his post. I discovered that one during the Summer Festival when I was out of town to care for my aunt. The internet speed was atrocious. :X The only loading issue I have at home is that the invoke ability takes a second or two longer to activate the first time when I'm using a wireless connection. If I'm on ethernet, I can typically invoke 60 characters in six minutes
      . I get around this by collecting from the box first, then using a quick "invoke-change character" keybind.
      2. The selector does the same thing on Playstation and PC. You just kind of have to figure out the pattern. Generally, the item you're rushing will, at some point, jump to the bottom of the list. Once it goes there, it doesn't move unless you rush a different item. If it starts on the bottom, you need to check after the first craft to see if it moves. If not, you can zip through that too. With r9 potions, you're only talking about 9 or 10 items per toon, not 80 (or 20 vs 200 on 2x professions week). There's actually a trick, btw, to let you skip having to use the selector if you're crafting remotely. I'll put together a video ASAP to show what I mean.
      3. The crafting cost argument is the reason it took me so long to switch. It took a dozen conversations with an extremely patient Gus before he was able to convince me to actually do a deep dive into the math. If you do a straight calculation, of course visors blow everything else out of the water. But, it's entirely different when you calculate how much you're saving in production cost by using good artisans and gatherers for your regents. You can't reasonable save any coin on leather, so visors are only modified by the artisan's crafting cost (and the difference is so minimal, it's not really much of a factor). You can save a ton of silver on regents for potions, though. Enough to totally offset the net income and place potions at the top of the list.
      4. The time factor: If you have only 1 to 3 crafters, it doesn't take that much time to spend 400 morale and do your daily crafting of visors. The trouble is that it takes significantly more time (mainly stopping to empty the box if crafting remotely or going to the workshop to do it and selling them from your inventory almost every day) than potions which can be stacked for weeks or months before needing to be sold. So much that you end up spending hours every day crafting if you have more than 10 or so characters. And let's not even go down the route of how many times a day you need to empty the delivery box if you're making visors that way. I'm pretty sure that's a 15 minute task, so 3 average artisans crafting would fill up a 30 slot (rank 4) delivery box in 2.5 hours (way faster than that if you're using fast and/or miracle worker artisans). I have over 60 toons. If do visors on them, it takes almost 5 hours of non-stop tedium to get through them. When 2x professions arrived, it would take literally a whole day to craft. I got burned out - ended up just crafting on 1 or 2 toons and skipped the rest. I can do morale crafting of potions on 60 toons in about 24 minutes. Way slower than I could probably do it on PS or Xbox, but that's because of the need to move the mouse around. Consoles just require a specific order of inputs, where a PC requires moving and selecting things via a mouse. We have huge benefits in some areas minor obstacles in others because of the mouse.
      Anyway, sorry for the long note. Hope it made a bit of sense.

    This is great, I actually just started on this path earlier this week. I found that, for newer characters, it was easiest to take leatherworking first, just to kick out a bunch of leather masks for quick cash, while leveling up gathering to the point that you can collect all of the ingredients for the r9 health pots. Then just checking artisans for alchemists as everything else is still paying you.
    At least, that's what I did.
    Again though, thanks for sharing stuff like this. Now my alts have a purpose and more new people can understand the alternatives to just swiping their credit card. You've been putting out some great stuff this week.

      I really appreciate this! And yeah, at first I figured just skip on leatherworking, but having a small stash of gold is really important for alchemy. So leatherworking is a nice idea for starting out. Ty for the tip.

      @@gusarcher5446when you are starting out with the Workshop, it’s really important that you don’t bankrupt yourself by using the most expensive Artisans and only focus on building your profits. Leather Visors are the best to start crafting but only until you acquire Great Artisans who are capable of giving you fantastic outcomes. Alchemy and Jewelcrafting is the best for making Gold and AD

      Hmm.. I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but have to say your screen name describes you quite well, Major Pain. You don't know what you're talking about. Gus is showing how you can craft gold in bulk. If you want to craft visors, have fun with it. It's not a viable way to make lots of gold unless you spend all bloody day every day doing it. I've been there, done that. But you do you, my friend. Cheers!
