I already suggested this when the Pound had lost nearly all of It's water. I said I would have put a JCB In with a big bucket on. And run up and down the Pound removing all the Silt. Check the video of this, to see how much Is In there. Plus they did rake the bottom In another Video. But Canals are 3ft all the way down at there deepest anyway.

Wow! So swans can live over 20 years, they chose to build their beautiful nest on your stretch and as far as i counted they had atleast five little swan babys. You are such a lucky guy.
Absolutely hilarious video, had me in stitches! I've always heard that swans are 'the queens birds' so even though she's not around anymore (rip) i think you should package them up and send them to windsor with a note saying "i think you may have lost these, i found them in my back garden" and include an itemized bill for all their lunches and dinners you kindly gave them lol.

Have you tried feeding on liquidised bread and using a small amount of bread as your hookbait? This has always worked for me in heavily swan/duck populated areas. I've had days where the boilies and corn got absolutely no attention at all for hours, then the bread had them coming in one after the other. I know that the swans also love their bread, but I think that's a benefit too, because people throw it in to feed the swans/ducks and the fish also inevitably get used to feeding on it. I just press a tiny amount of bread into a small disc and pop it on the hook, that way it flutters down and does a good job attracting fish of all sizes and various species. A little bit of liquidised bread around your hookbait goes a really long way too, creates a nice cloud, and all the tiny food particles travelling through the water really seem to get a lot of attention from hungry fish. All the best.
