Damn, I remember a time when Android 16 was the de facto best character in the game... Amazing what such a small number of changes can do to a character's effectiveness.
RisingJericho what do you mean? He’s still inarguably top 3 at worst. He has way too many tools at his disposal to not be a top tier character. Ok, he’s not AS good as he once was, but he was unbalanced as hell in that state.
Yep I was wrong about that. Took a bit of confirmation bias and held it as fact. I tried jumping out of the flash in a game twice before and I guess I hit a button and took it as no jump after flash. My bad.

His ground and air qcf grab are different specials on the command list meaning it is one per type of grab and the anti air grabs are single in the air or ground
one fun fact is that Android 16, so far my playtime and testing, might be the only one that has a 50/50 mixup after a dragon rush. I'll give everyone a short version the best I can. Normally you go for a dragon rush for mostly to tag back in your opponents weakest character that is trying to recover some health, and it's good. However, when 16 is involved, the mixups begin. If they press any air attack, super dash or vanish, just Down Heavy them for a free combo. If they block, go for a well time anti-air piledriver. Combine this with assists and you do good damage on both sides. You can even cross them up or go for more mixup potential. Android 16 has some of the insane mixup potential in the game, and I love playing characters like this
I personally always use him in the middle. He's too strong to leave as the anchor (and benefits a lot from assist backup) but he also has a quite strong assist himself.
My team right now bounces between piccolo/android 21/tien, and piccolo/vegeta/tien. Since you've already done android 21 any of the other characters would be great.
Closest thing I got to a team right now is 21/16/tien. Trying to see if Nappa/16/ssj vegeta works as well but honestly I am open to anything and everything at this point.

One: piccolo is my favorite dragon ball character so I want him on my team, and two: Tien (imo) is the best anchor in the game, and my experience in marvel 3 tells me that if you're not abusing xfactor with your anchor you're doing something wrong. I just play vegeta because his assist is actually broken, and when he's active character he has stupid stuff he can pull off with tien's assist. I've optimized my combos such that they do less damage than other combos, but use very little meter for extensions, and end with the psuedo dhc mechanic with the half circle back and the assist button to combo into tiens shin kikoho and burn as much meter on that as possible. Tiens shin kikoho actually feels like using cable's vyper beam in mvc2. Like I just use super and annihilate characters that have only taken very little damage up until that point. I've built a weird amalgum of the mvc2 and mvc3 meta games for my team.

And of course if they know that you know that they know that you know etc etc thats the many layers of guessing games.
Will try to get around to as many characters as I can. I usually only make these styles of vids when I feel like I got a real good grasp on a character and right now I don't have a good grasp on gotenks :(
Yep it is, if you delay it. However if you are going to delay it imo you might as well go for delayed L command throw and get the setup on hard knockdown, or you can just auto go into M command grab no delay and its roughly the same timing.
I can see why you wouldnt find hit all that viable but why dont you have a hit tips and tricks? He does relye on assist alot but you've done othe character i find to be below him before. If you just dont like him i respect that im just curious to see what kinda tech you can find with him. Theres not very many in depth hit guides.

His level 3 command grab can be jumped after the superflash. To add to that so can Trunks' and Beerus'. None of them are instant after the flash 😢

The self destruct is easy to place when the opponent use the sparking blast and stars to pressure you after the dash.

I have not heard of "frame deflect" as it stands. I know deflect starts on frame 1 if that's what that means.

Rea Flor I don't think any of his moves have armor, but I'm not entirely sure
Nappa qcb+S, the part with the electricity has infinite guardpoints(technically different, but effectively the same as armor).
Aaron Rainbolt armor still takes damage on hits they absorb guard points don't

with the piledrivers my qcbs arent connecting in the air
qcb piledrivers in the air you gotta be a smidge below the guy, too high up and it just whiffs.

does the practical level 3 have any start up invincibility?
My understanding is so far, that all level 3's are invincible startup, however they do not all share the same amount of invincibility.
