I kept trying like 10 times and screen would come on for a second or 2 but never a K on screen . I then disconnected the hdmi cable so nothing was connected. Then I got the K on second try. Re initialized and tv works again. thx

Well I did a Hard Reset, Nope. Then a Menu Reset (got 8 "OPC: leaves), No "SHARP" or "K" button, just snow and some hard to see snow where the grey patch is. :-( I'd try the third method but I don't have the arms for it. ;-) A note just flashed in the lower left corner (to fast to read) and the TV turned off, I'll wait a few minutes to see if it automatically turns back on or I'll turn it on? I tried the "Input" trick and now have a blank, black (no snow) screen and no hdmi channels? Well, audio is working, still black screen. Embarrassing, I forgot the HDMI cable, still have grey.

I couldn't quite figure it out for quite a few tries, but finally I got the K, entered the service menu, went through all 26 (in my case) pages twice, and turned the TV off. Turned it back on and it worked! Thank you so much!

My sound wouldnt work so I put the TV in storage for a couple years because we didn't have a remote to get into the settings and reset it that way.. I held down the volume and input and it works again. You're the man.

Finally, as I was just about to drop $$$ on some replacement modules or possibly send the TV off to e-waste, I came across this video. Nice vid mate. I have an older model Sharp TV and was thinking about getting into the service menu so I can do a grayscale calibration as these features aren't available via the picture menu as they are on current TV's that I've seen. Do you know if the service menu shows this and how you save and exit from the service menu if you use the 9,9,9,2,2,2 technique?
Hey man thanks for the informative video. I have a sharp aquos 26 which works sometimes and is mostly dead. At random times of the day the little blue boomerang light near the IR blinks inconsistently. It also does this as soon as i plug it in to the wall but totally refuses to respond in any other way. Be in the input vol down buttons the pull out and re enter power cable nothing works with it. Do you have any ideas..? Thanks for any time and advise in advance. Uk, London
I have 55" sharp aquos led with a horizontal line in the middle for the first 30-45 min of play. After that is a beautiful picture. Hey man I am having a problem with a Sharp 60in LED TV. I moved my TV from one location about 20 miles. Would you be able to give me some insight on the reason why my remote does not work.I have even went through the extent of ordering a $45 remote thinking it was the remote was bad and with the new remote it still does not work!

Have an old Sharp LC-19SB15J Your tip on pressing Input & Vol- then plugging it Finally turned it ON, get this I reset it needed but it won't turn on without doing your tip so it stays on i guess its working... Followed your instructions on the video. Everything worked up to the last instruction with the green screen. We pulled the plug for 30 seconds and plugged back in, however, only a black screen and a flashing boomerang appears. What should be the next step to get the picture to appear. Thanks.
A few questions, If my TV is hardwired to the modem/router, do I still need to update using a USB? We don't have a physical remote and the app doesn't appear to have any functionality, even after setting up the port. We are having problems navigating the menus using the buttons on the TV. We lost the ability to select the options, the volume/channel buttons cycle multiple times in one touch. The volume stops working and it won't turn off unless we unplug it.
Is using the service menu even more of a reset than the factory reset built into the menu? I have the LC-55P6050U and just after 2 years the audio suddenly went out on the speakers. The headphone jack works, picture, inputs, apps all work But without sound on any of them through the built in speakers only the headphone jack. Would this also be the main logic board?

I have a LC60E69U. Last night my brother pushed a wrong button on his universal remote and changed the input. He couldn't find the regular tv remote so he went to the side of the tv and started trying to change it from there. He hit the menu button and it froze the tv in that mode. Nothing I do will change it. I followed your instructions above for a hard reset but it would not even turn on from there. I am furious figuring I have a huge repair bill coming because of him. Do you have any suggestions for me before I have to put out the money?
If i do the reset will it still go into service mode if its a bad led? The problem is itll power up like normal show the sharp display then goes black and the bottom power light has a steady blink . Sharp 80"650u
Thankyou, i’ve learnt to reset it. My screen kept flashing red, green, blue, white i tried everything, until i reset it. Going good so far, i went as far as hitting my TV with a slipper, it worked for a bit.😂😂
SO when I hold input and volume- nothing happens, but I also saw pushing volume- and power works also, so I do that and it actually powers on. idk if im waiting long enough but how long until it cuts on when holding input and volume?
hey there =] i just got a 46 inch sharp aquos tv, the picture is blurry, like it is trying to catch up from some sort of lagg, i only have my xbone connected to it, doesnt matter if its a film or game its like turning ur head to fast, hopefully these tips help :D will let you know
our house recently got struck by lightning and now the hdmi ports dont work. do you think any of these resets will fix it or will i have to get a new circuit board.
