    Bahaha, had me in stitches, every 1:40 secs... DONT TOUCH! But each one holds so much beauty, gorgeous video Mina. Fabulous editing compliments to the hubby! This vid really captures the pourers journey, through experimenting, self perceived failure and ultimately, learning! Even though you say you got the bug out of your system, I still think this is possible, round canvas, a cut bucket top and a pair of handcuffs! Ay? Ay? com'on! We all wanna see that! Lol 🤣

      Mina Villegas Art The top half of a bucket would work well for the canvases that need a forklift to carry for sure, but I’d love to see you try @PaulStarart’s top of a juice container, it holds a lot of paint which injects it under the surface paint like a dirty pour as it travels. You’d do something amazing, I’m sure.

    I don’t know what I like best, your personality that makes me smile, or your beautiful work. I have been collecting paint and watching videos for 3years. I need some nerve to set up where my jealous dog won’t get into it and I feel totally competent. Guess you don’t feel that way unless you Do it!
    (Note to self)
    Thank you so much!

    I so agree. Our job (that you do way better than almost anyone) is to help the paint and canvas to open up and be as amazing and beautiful as it can be. I love your art and love that you celebrate and enjoy each piece that you create. So there you go!

    You so fun to watch! Great laugh, too. Thank you for solving an open cup pour problem...how to break up the solid blob of colour in the centre. I'm new to pouring...doing it for mental health more than anything. First open cup- [pour ended up with the huge stretched blob. I will swirl the next one to break it up. :-)

    I believe tilting is what creates what's inside you. Anyone can put paint in a cup and see what comes up. Is the tilt that the artist creates the masterpiece! Beautiful

    Interesting and helpful experiments indeed, Mina. I especially liked the dried result of Test 1-it reminds me of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”-the colors for one. But prettier in more ways than one as to how it made me feel just looking at it. Thank you once again. I just love watching your videos, they’re so inspiring. Your pleasant and friendly manner, your laughter, your skill-all of that makes it such a pleasure. I also love that you film outdoors, and how you talk to the wind sometimes. The lightheartedness makes me keep coming back for more whenever I get that notification. Love it!

    By the way, they all turned out beautiful. If the process is fun, that’s the most important part. Just don’t stop, the last one where your patience held the longest is my favorite. You didn’t fail, they’re all fabulous and so fun to watch.

    This is the first of your pours I've watched; it was a suggested video. The first 2 pours were amazing b4 you tilted. If it were possible to capture a photo from the video instead of taking one on your phone, I would then enlarge it bc it was incredible art. The finished canvases were great, too, and I understand the necessity of tilting. I'm watching more of your videos now.

I would love to try this technique but really don't have the space at the moment. Love as always from Dot UK. • @MinaVillegasArt
      @MinaVillegasArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks PawsnFins!
      For the last pour (the Garnet) my husband suggested the same thing, we used paper towels to make a cushion to go under the middle. It didn't really seem to make much difference, honestly. They need to be tilted and stretched out so you can see all the cool stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting, I hope you have a great day! You have a very intriguing name lol 🥰

    Thank you for experimenting and sharing so much detail and personal feedback on your work! Yup, you've totally inspired me and I'm sharing my new obsession with friends as they visit my mountain home on retreat. It's a new offering of something fun to inspire play and creativity in my friends' lives. You're terrific for sharing the technical details/supply info, really helps us cut down on our own trial and error (and wasted paint & canvases). Can't tell you how much I appreciate shared creativity Mina - your videos got my creative juices flowing after years spent healing my body, and I'm so excited to explore this new avenue that's adding energy to my life when I haven't had much for awhile. Plus your laughter is contagious! :)

      Hi Jeanne! For the last experiment my hubby suggested something under the middle too, so we wadded up some paper towels and I smushed them so it was barely elevating the surface, it was just flat. I like it😊I think the reason your paint or cup is moving a certain direction is down to how your pouring. It looks like the force that the paint hits the canvas at creates a wave motion in the direction your obviously pouring.😄 Maybe using a taller cup and using a slow gentle pouring style may reduce some of the directional movement your getting. A fun way to practice pouring is to make pan cakes😀Love your work. And please keep posting more

    • @MinaVillegasArt
      @MinaVillegasArt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could be right about that Chris! Hmm, I might have to do another open cup and try pouring it in slower.. I was thinking I should pour from up high to get gravity to push the paint under to create cells. Oh boy, I'm all excited now lol 😂

      Hi Rinske! Welcome! Im so glad you enjoyed it! This was a really interesting experience, I was very excited and frustrated at the same time lol but I enjoyed the journey very much ❤ I love watching the paint move, and when the cells appear its always magical to me. My conclusion for this experiment is that they need to be tilted and stretched so that you can see all the hidden treasures in there. Thank you so much for watching ❤

    😳 I was about to ask if you slightly lift one end and pour slowly allowing it to roll on its own? Maybe 3 cups? Oh great..im off to mix paint now to see what kind of mess I can create!! 😁 you have about 1 min more patience than me!

    Loved the small canvas, but the large on seemed to prove that the dynamic that works is FLOW, and if that isn't present the result is not as interesting because it is so much more static. To make this flow happen without tilting I think you would have to rig the potential for flow to occur. Canvas is quite flexible and susceptible to any weight on it, so that would naturally decrease flow even with a slight dip under the weight of the paint. Counteract that with something marginally higher than the edge and placed under the centre would change the dynamic altogether and increase to potential for flow. Different shapes and heights would produce different. effects. Though I tend to think it would not be anywhere near as artistically satisfying as creating results by tilting to choice! The fun and fascination must be in the process and the choices you make, and those can be seen in the results which are so much more interesting than just leaving it up to mechanics. Your choices rock, Mina, you just proved your own artistry works!

    First & foremost I have to say love your laugh, it’s contagious! I think it’s even better that u can laugh at yourself when you do something funny! I have enjoyed watching many hours of your videos & u have made me fall in love with the straight pour using a ring. I feel like I’ve gotten the best results that I’ve ever gotten with this technique. I would love to make some paint pour videos as well but it seems flooded & I am not a huge social media presence, which I believe is what sets apart the masses. Just wanted to compliment your work & let u know u have a new fan & follower. Blessed Be!

      As to making videos, I think if you have something worth seeing people will watch. You never know until you try 😉 I'm really happy for you!! ❤
