Ok, I'm upset that people haven't barged you with requests on watching this absolute classic of a film. I love it, people I know who have watched "Wake up Sid", have loved it, and as long as i've known you guys, you'll have a blast. The acting is on point, the story is serviceable, and the songs are just magic.
This is my favourite Ranbir movie. He is the most likeable in it. But for me the real draw is Konkana Sen Sharma. I hope enough people recommend Mr. And Mrs. Iyer (That's an i) to you.
Another comment from you that I agree with wholeheartedly. Mr. and Mrs. Iyer is an absolute gem. I have recommended it before but not many people seem to agree. I feel Konkona and Rahul Bose were fantastic in it even though it was very early in their respective careers. They have reacted to both earlier but they did not seem to see what I see in them. (They saw the Shaurya court scene but their focus was on Kay Kay and they were not impressed with Rahul's performance.)

But, to be fair, Rahul Bose is a laid back person on screen normally and it takes time for you to appreciate what his presence brings to the scene. Also, I think most of their followers are Gen-Z who were too young to remember the movie and have more of a taste for masala going by some of the stuff reviewed here.
He shouted “nice hack” as in the hack Ranbir used to capture Konkona photo bu making her smile and clicking it candid as in the previous still it was showed that she is hesitant of getting herself clicked
Idk if I'd consider this a rom-com tbh. It's more of a coming of age. The rom-com is there but it's not as central of a part. Id put it as a story about friendship, family and growing up
Ya.. the main romantic story line is only towards the end of the movie . Till then it's just them growing as friends and getting to know each other.. live the movie❤️

Incidentally the movie Ranbir & that kid were watching on the television was Mr. India, with sridevi - the one with the blackface song 😶 I think you've seen most of Ranbir's best work. Out of the remaining ones you can watch Rocket Singh - salesman of the year (GREAT MOVIE!) and Ae Dil hai mushkil, starring Aishwarya Rai and Anushka - it's kind of a romcom, and has great music. Ranbir did a great job in it. But you should explore the actress in this movie - konkona Sen Sharma, she's one of the finest actresses we have. Start with her path breaking film "Mr. And Mrs. Iyer".
One of the best part of this movie for me, were the amazing T-shirts that Ranbir wore.. Also, when I was watching it the 3rd or 4th time, I noticed how they have used his clothes as an indication of his growing up..
Both are great actors. Would love to see this pairing again. Konkana is a treasure. What ever she does. You guys should explore Konkana more. Watch Mr. and Mrs. Iyer

I don't know about ovaries going into over-drive. The thing about seeing a man handle kids well is that he ends up showing his gentler, vulnerable side. Seeing that mask of machismo drop and being able to see a gentle soul is the real draw.
