I live in Pune and this is the train I prefer to use when I want to travel to Mumbai. Reasons are that you will reach Dadar, Mumbai by around 10 am before the real crazy traffic starts on Mumbai roads. The train is clean and the passengers in the AC and Vistadome are decent and well behaved. You have seen for yourself that your expensive items were safe despite your being away from the compartment for such a long time. The compartments are clean and even the toilets are clean. Passengers talk softly in the compartments. One really enjoys the trip. The catering staff are also polite when taking orders and serving food. You didn’t show enough of the beautiful view of the Western Ghats between Lonavala and Khandala. You showed more of the trains and tracks. It is very difficult to get tickets for the Vistadome or AC chair car in this train. You will much more easily get tickets for Vande Bharat because it leaves later. Thank you for showing the dining car. I have never used it. It usually leaves on time but recently it has started reaching late. Not sure why.

Earlier dining coaches were there with many trains like Purva, Rajdhani, Hwh-Asansol Exp etc, many trains. If one remembers Satyajit Ray's movie Nayak, Sharmila Tagore meets Uttam Kumar in the dining car of the Hwh- Delhi train.
this WCAM locomotive was brought into action to overcome the AC -DC conversion around the Mumbai sector.
for a long time, Mumbai Section was at 3kv DC while rest of the country was at 25kv AC. in fact at igatpuri, there was a long process where they would actually change the power supply to the overhead wire from DC to AC and vice versa.
but after this WCAM series of locomotives were brought into action, all that was needed a small neutral section where the locomotive would coast through , lowering the DC pantograph and raising the AC Panto (when leaving Mumbai section) and reverse would happen when entering Mumbai territory.
it happened here on central railways as well as Western railway. while Konkan railways was originally designed only for diesel traction and only recently it has been electrified.
now entire Mumbai Section is under 25Kv, just like rest of the country and these WCAMS have been modified for AC use only. all DC equipment has been removed.
WCAMs are still being used on Central railways while on western railways, they have been phased out or transferred to central railways till end of service life.

Dining car is a good concept. But it is abused by ticket less travellers (in convience with TC). Instead of it, replace it with one regular coach to accommodate more people.

small suggestion - Do not play any song in your video. Train sound has its very own importance. video with train original sound make us to feel exactly like we are in that train.
This is not the only train with dining car, Coal Field Express, running between Dhanbad/Howrah too has dining car.
The background music is so irritating; it is a big distraction and lessens the enjoyment of watching the video! But the journey was great, i must say!
What is the difference between EV class and CC class in this train ? Does CC class has those big glass windows ?
4:58 .... This is a WCAM-3 here for DQ, that never hauled Mumbai Rajdhani. Mumbai Rajdhani used to be hauled by WCAM-2 in WR !

This is called travel vlogging!
These locomotives are dear to us.WCAM is a locomotive.This engine is only with AC and DC electrical system.So a single pantograph is used for one current.
Railway ministry should start dining coachwith clean maintainace and good quality food in major routes it will be a boon to passangers
