It more or less is. I grew up in Vermont in the 90s and we used to drive up to Sherbrooke/Lennoxville (only a 2 hour or so drive) to enjoy the nightlife in certain establishments due to the drinking age being 21 in the States and only 18 in Quebec haha. It's a beautiful little city as well.
Quebec has always had liberal drinking laws. I am from Nova Scotia where it's 19. I never understood the obvious discrepancies when it is OK to serve in the military, in Canuckistan you can join the militia at 16, regs at 17 as I was and be allowed to have a pint in the mess hall, vote for your next PM/President at 18 and can't drink until your 21!? Have you been north to sample our finest selections of government cannabis? Ha Ha! @@WhiteWolf--
I think Calgary is not a nice city anymore, the new buildings are cold, without culture and charm. The city is full of violent, on drugs people. Quebec looks lovely, so much culture and charm
Sherbrooke IN the summer time looks good.
تحياتنا لكم على هذه التغطية المتميزة من جانبكم وبالتوفيق.
What a beautiful city! Looks a lot like New England.

Good for you to be willing to move where it is more affordable. Canada is a big country with many places to choose to live.
