I love how Dhani sound so much like George and he refuses to let georges gear just sit in a museum and he actually uses it for music. I also how Dhani refuses to let his father being a beatle define him and makes music that is incredible by itself. I believe that Dhani would have his voice heard even without the last name Harrison
I'm bored at work, and I've been listening to this on repeat for about 30 minutes. It's not physically possible to be sick of this song! Also, the Harrison family is the best family in music. =)
What a great sound by a handful of true musical legends ! I can't believe I haven't heard this song before today on Woodstock Radio...... C'mon stations, quit playing crap and lets get some REAL music over the waves !
I just wished that a few of the other songs on their album were a bit more up tempo like "Father's Son". It is amazing how much Dhani Harrison sounds like George and Ben Harper's vocals and slide guitar lends such a unique and twang to the beat that somehow manages to fit just perfectly and makes the song come together so beautifully. I really hope to hear more songs in an upbeat rhythm like "Father's Son". It is something that has been missing from the music scene for quite some time. Rock On!
Found you guys by accident singing Dylan's "Buckets of Rain". Loved how you sounded so decided to look for more tunes by you. Not until this video did I know that Dhani was playing. Your Dad would have been sooo proud of you. You have "your own" sound. Yeah, you do sound a bit like your Dad. Take that as a compliment. I'm goining to keep looking for stuff by you guys. LOVE it!
LOVE THIS SONG.....YOU "SONS" OF "FATHERS" NEED MORE AIR TIME!!! NO SHAME IN USING YOUR DAD'S FAME, DHANI [sorry, guys...don't know if your dad's are famous, but no shame, if they are, to use them too!!] THEY'D BE PROUD, SO, SOOOO PROUD!!!
This is a great song from a pretty good album. Ben Harper continues to amaze and inspire me. He seems to be able to work with just about anybody and always comes off sounding great. I agree with one of the other comments, it would be great to hear these guys do some more up tempo stuff on their next album, hopefully they do some more recording soon.,
Good stuff, but reminds me of the old blues tune "Nobody's Fault But Mine" (& also an obscure tune from the 70's called "Queen Jealousy" by a Winnipeg band called Mood Jga Jga, which of course these guys would have never heard).
this song should definitely be higher on the charts than lady gaga, britney spears, etc. no autotune or synthesizers here, just good ol' fashion acoustic bliss!
@maybeastarbucks actually D# as u call it ( more commonly referred to as E flat ) is a very common key. just tune all your gtr strings down a semitone and you're there.

This music rocks! If you like this version, check out their performance on Conan O'Brien in November, 2010. Yeah, Dhani channelling Dad Beatle George!

my fav from the LP :)
Better than most of their other stuff... the other songs of theirs that I've heard so far have sounded like the black crowes on tranquilizers.
This is AWESOME! Great Sound!
The end of episode 7, and Google lyrics brought me here :)
Dhani ❤️❤️
