The best thing that ever happened to my IPAD. The thing has so much STUFF in it that it simply FORCES CREATIVITY out of your fingers. Some kinda cosmic blend of stringed instrument and keyboard that you can throw in your car and take with you to the park and play music to the ducks while you feed em’ bread crusts or something, and WHO THE HELL KNEW FEEDING DUCKS COULD BECOME SO DAMNED ENTERTAINING! And did I mention GeoShred is the biggest bargain in musical instrument history?? Back in the day, you would spend 25 bucks and the only portable tune maker you could get was a friggin’ HARMONICA! Jordan Rudess and his team has given us a rare gift of serious tech and I find this much appreciated. Thanks Jordan.
GeoShred is nuts. There are some excellent music making apps available for iPad but this one goes to another level because it can put out varieties of sounds, effects, playing things. It does everything for someone who is into playing an instrument. There is expensive hardware out there that does this kind of thing. I think geoshred belongs in a short list of great expressive instruments along with those hardware instruments. Having it on the iPad makes the situation so flexible because if the ease of being able to get apps to work together. Every time a new synth comes out for iPad, there is another thing that can be used to enhance geoshred. For that reason, geoshred goes way beyond what any hardware instrument can do, easily. The key word is easily. I need for all kinds of cables and interfaces. You can have fun just using headphones. Thanks Jordan for this crazy good app. A masterpiece indeed.

How to change instruments like violin, or piano sounds for this geoshred. I'm totally confused and at the same time excited to learn. Please guide how to achieve this. Thank you in advance! :)

@@bhushangogad Yes, under "Menu> Performance Settings> Keyboard> Tuning> Tuning Wheel" you can set the tuning of each string to be anything including an inversion of the strings with low at the top an high at the bottom. Note that this will not invert the musical direction, that notes increase in pitch in going from left to right.

Are you using BlueTooth headphones? Here is our FAQ about BlueTooth. www.moforte.com/geoShredAssets7000/help/FAQs/index.html#blueToothAudio Bluetooth audio is not designed to support real time performance. It has a built in delay that can be up to 1 second long. Note that the same is true of AirPlay. Note that this is an issue with how BlueTooth Audio is designed, and NOT a GeoShred issue.
"Any idea why my Artiphon Instrument 1 only gives me 5 strings to use? I am not getting the highest string. I'll keep listening to tutorials and try to figure it out. Love the GeoShred! " This is most likely because you are not in MPE mode on your Artiphone. In MPE mode channel 1 is the Manager channel and is only used for master control. What is most likely happening is that your artiphone is sending notes on channel 1 because it's not in MPE mode.
Audio latency for Windows is reasonable. We will likely have a windows VST for GeoShred late 2021. However the Surface touchscreen latency can be poor. We measured 310 ms on an ASUS surface. It needs to be more like 10ms to 20ms. Touch screen latency is really not a function of how fast the device is. It's related to buffering in the the hardware/software path between the touch screen and the CPU. We don't see that hardware manufacturers have any incentive to improve this to reach the level of performance found on iOS devices.
