+Cliff John You are not deathly afraid of heights then. I have a serious phobia of heights and I can't ride any rides at all. If I step on a ladder to the third step I start freaking out and I have panic attacks. I can barely step on a stool or a chair to hang something up in my house, and sometimes I can't even do that, I freak out too much. No one in the world could ever pay me enough money to go on any of these rides as it gives me anxiety and fear just watching this video... do not say "deathly afraid of heights" when you aren't that scared. You may be leery or kind of nervous about heights but if you were able to actually go on these rides, then ummmmm no. ESPECIALLY since you say you actually jumped out of a damn plane... and your parachute did not work, and then you still go on these rides? I call B/S on you.
+Krave Zomby I am deathly afraid of heights. one time I jumped from a plane to get over it and my chute didn't open properly, which made it worse. this ride was much, much scarier than that incident!
Did the BIG SHOT back in 2004. It is a lot more terrifying during the daytime because you can SEE how HIGH you are above the ground and you can't see any support below you! Would do it again in a heart beat :)
I am not sure if I can ride these. I usually ride anything, but technical failures do occur, and if they occur here you are toast. I looked into all of these rides and how they work. When you jump off the building, it's not an actual free fall. You are hooked up to a machine called a deccelerator. It's a machine that controls the fall and slows you down when you get to the bottom.. What if that machine malfunctions? Do you just plummet into the ground? WHat happens if the machine stops on the way down? Do you just dangle there 100's of feet off the ground? No shot.
Said perfectly. Fuck that noise. six flags new England had a 415 swing ride now that I won't go on. I'll go on any wooden or steel coaster, but not fucking swings supported by chains 415 feet up. Nah.
I don't know about X-Scream , but when I was living in Vegas , Insanity got stuck for almost 2 hours face down .They had to hand crank it back in . These people were terrified when they finally got off . You are right to be afraid . To me it was scary enough looking out of the window on the floor below .
Oh HELL no. If that had happened to me I would have crapped my pants, cried like a french girl and puked. Hell, I was ready to do those things anyway and the ride DIDN'T malfunction.
it doesn't take much of an imagination to think of what could happen. Over time metal fatigue syndrome cause small cracks to form in the bolts. if they don't see them.. .oooops
@Hoppy the Mad Pencil GP comment these things are likely held by magnets and hard brakes there is no way that with daily inspection and part replacement that anything will happen. It's basically just a kiddie ride but high up.
These are all, really fun, for the right person. I am a thrill seeker and I really enjoyed it, and was a bit scared by the height itself. I was comfortable with the safety of all the rides as the employees staple (check by pulling up) your restraints, not once, but twice (overkill in my opinion, but safety first). The rides are “open air” with the design of the seating, and are the best experience at night. The rides can really be an incredible, once in a lifetime experience, just make sure you know what you’re getting into.

I got to go on all three rides while on my trip in Vegas, and as a person who has a fear of heights, these were honestly not that bad. Instead, I found them to be super fun! I found Insanity to be quite cool, as looking down the Stratosphere tower is very unique and dizzying. The second ride, X-Scream, is just pure fun, even though I'll admit that moving at a quick speed towards the edge is a little frightening. However, my favorite of the three was definitely Big Shot. Such a fun ride! Getting launched up and getting that view of Las Vegas is absolutely amazing, and the airtime you get going down is awesome. Overall, I didn't really found these rides to be "scary", but rather fun to ride. If I were given the chance to ride these again, I'd totally say yes!
That second one I rode in 2009, and God is my witness that was probably one of the most relaxing rides I’ve ever been on. They were playing some relaxing music and it felt like a calm merry go round.
I did this on 10/21 for my 50th birthday. My hands were sooo sweaty! It was terrifying! I was screaming so loud that it made us all laugh! Do it. It’s so fun!
Fun fact , it's called the Strat now, they sold the word Sphere to MGM for 30 million dollars and a new casino the MGM Sphere will be coming in 2024-25. With a Giant snow globe feature that can be seen from an airplane and out of space. Wow.
Only one of these I'd ride is the swing, I've ridden those before and they are my favorites. However being on one this high up would be awesome! Definitely gonna do this now that I live here in vegas.
I went on the needle ride when I was really young, 11 or so. I think it helped that it was @ night, so it didn't look as scary/high. Guess they don't have it anymore? Lol.
I rode these rides last night. 5:17 Not since the slingshot ride have I ever been so viscerally terrified and actually in fear of my life as I was riding the X-Scream. Definitely my #1 nope ride.
went on this a couple years back was terrified of them all, didn’t do the bungie jump but the one where you spin around my seat wasn’t locked till i had did it myself a few seconds before the ride started still lucky to be alive lol
Actually it will not fail nor fall.Magnets are the brakes and are permanent.Magnetic brakes don't fail. Also doubt they would make the ride about 900 feet up hanging from a building edge.If had regular non magnetic brakes
@@interstellarca Roller coaster or any ride type track magnet doesn't just stop working dumbass, it's a magnet. The earths magnetic poles won't suddenly go haywire.
Excuse me but I am afraid of heights, during my recent visit to Las Vegas I tried daring myself to get on the roller coaster. Could not do it it looked scary, I know that people with an adrenaline high could do it with no questions asked, but me, take me to Magic Mountain.
I live here in Vegas and let me set the record straight. First off, every ride is built with material rated 4X's stronger then required for said application. Secondly, every ride is t gone over with a fine tooth comb to check for any type of possible metal fatigue and all nuts and bolts have welds applied once tightened. Thirdly, the rides are safe. That is priority #1. Your enjoyment comes second. I've personally done all the rides um-teen times and love them. 1/2 the enjoyment is thinking in the back of your mind, "Damn, what happens if......." But if won't happen. Believe me. Because of the type of rides they are, every aspect has double backup. If say the brakes were to fail, there is brake backup in place and then that brake has a backup. It's in the design of these thrill rides. And the only way they would allow them to be built. So there it is. No b s. No smoke screen. Go up and scare the crap out of yourself in a way that u can't anywhere else. P.S. There are signs posted at the entrance to each ride that states: If the ride were to fail in any way causing you to plummet 30 stories to your death, all costs for that ride will be refunded. LOL

omg that dude on a green ride, hes lonely af
I went there last week. I tried them all but the free fall. It was great. Adrenaline at it best!
these rides will clear your anxiety, low self esteem, panic attacks for life. Do it
I was up there just last year and fuck that. It's scary enough just to be way up there
if I had sat on the second and third I would have died because of heart attack, than they had to take my body out
I just pissed my pants watching this
Lol your profile pic tho.
That second one I rode in 2009, and God is my witness that was probably one of the most relaxing rides I’ve ever been on. They were playing some relaxing music and it felt like a calm merry go round.
Stop talking bullshit
This one is scariest one to me. Just would feel like torture.
That was the most serene ride I have ever had in my life at night. It's simply the best!!
I did this on 10/21 for my 50th birthday. My hands were sooo sweaty! It was terrifying! I was screaming so loud that it made us all laugh! Do it. It’s so fun!
Should I do it?
Why do I have such bad anxiety watching this like My whole body is so tense and I’m just watching from my couch 2 feet of the ground lol
OMG! lol me too!
1:50 I might die if I heard that in that situation.
What did you hear?
@@demonghost6361 the siren
3:07 i've gone in this ride and it was really amazing
i was 15 when i went and trust me it was the best ride ever
I love the stratosphere! Only did the second ride tho. it was awesome.
Fun fact , it's called the Strat now, they sold the word Sphere to MGM for 30 million dollars and a new casino the MGM Sphere will be coming in 2024-25. With a Giant snow globe feature that can be seen from an airplane and out of space. Wow.
Haha i've been there
the ride at 1:07 was absolutely amazing :D
And the "big shot" is also quite fun
😰
I respect anyone who can bungee jump because FUCK THAT SHIT NOOOO WAY AM I EVER DOING THAT FUCK NO
Exactly like bitch where? you can't pay me enough money to do that
You don't really bungee jump off of it you just just jump off and gravity makes you go down you don't come back up yo the spot where you jumped off
Ada Nowak still scary af

+Robert Taylor my 2 words: FUCK YES
Lmaoo right
+Tou Yang No, the free fall alone is $100.00.
Why not?!
I’ve been on all of these rides before, I was very nervous but it was absolutely amazing! I loved it
I was going to do this 2 weeks ago while in Vegas but none of those attractions are available right now
I was up there with no more than a dozen people for an hour, so I got to ride as many times as I liked. It was so much fun!
Only one of these I'd ride is the swing, I've ridden those before and they are my favorites. However being on one this high up would be awesome! Definitely gonna do this now that I live here in vegas.
I live in Vegas. I’ve rode all of them! They’re actually not that bad! Super fun! 🤣😍
Son:" Mom, I am flying!!"
Mom:"Where?"
Son:"Downnnnnnnnn ahhhhhh!!!"
On my bucket list!!!!
I rode Big Shot just 3 days ago and it was one of the BEST experiences in life!
Ay you play animal crossing!
I went on the needle ride when I was really young, 11 or so. I think it helped that it was @ night, so it didn't look as scary/high. Guess they don't have it anymore? Lol.
Second ride guy had no one to hold his hands 😂😂😂😂💀
I'm going on that third ride....wish me luck 😂
You alive?
he ded
@@LS-jk3fk Lel! XD
Did you survive
Jinkys! My legs are going wobbly just watching 😳
Did everything! So exciting!!!
5 words fuck that shit im out
mmm m mmm. fuck that shit I'm out.
I just went on it last week, the first time on these rides is scary, but the second and third time isn't that bad
Exactly what I was gonna say!!!
Devan Fujinaka k
Technically 6 words because "I'm" means I am...
the only one i would ride is the first one; it would make me feel as if i were in Attack On Titan
I rode these rides last night. 5:17 Not since the slingshot ride have I ever been so viscerally terrified and actually in fear of my life as I was riding the X-Scream. Definitely my #1 nope ride.
Ballzy just ballzy
i travelled from spain to ride these 3, can´t describe with words, simply fucking amazing, recommended at least once in a life!!
went on this a couple years back was terrified of them all, didn’t do the bungie jump but the one where you spin around my seat wasn’t locked till i had did it myself a few seconds before the ride started still lucky to be alive lol
Have you ever gone Ziplining at the linq promenade or in downtown????
On the 3rd ride the guys in the front put there hands down and hold on like that’s gunna help if they fall
No thanks, I choose life- *backs away*
I was 14 years old when I rode the X-Scream and the Big Shot. Now 20 years later and I don't know that I could do it again. Haha
2:02 those sirens are for them they all had a heart attack and the empty seats had people in them
(this is a joke)
1:44 that ambulance knows
I would literally be shittin my self on those rides
if thos brakes fail on that ride where you loom over the edge BUH BAI RIP
Actually it will not fail nor fall.Magnets are the brakes and are permanent.Magnetic brakes don't fail. Also doubt they would make the ride about 900 feet up hanging from a building edge.If had regular non magnetic brakes
TSpider Keeper anything is possible if you just believe 👍🏻
xXoOPersonOoXx 4719561 i agree with you magnets could snap off and get dirty and stop i say heck no
@@interstellarca Roller coaster or any ride type track magnet doesn't just stop working dumbass, it's a magnet. The earths magnetic poles won't suddenly go haywire.
UncommonGaming great point.
LOL
I just gotta say, props to the maintenance people who keep these rides safe for anyone to enjoy.
I got like 30 different phobias that won't allow me to do this 🥺🤪
I wouldn't do those even if you paid me one million dollars.
50 mil?
Same here I am scared of heights
I would do it for a million dollars and just suffer till it’s over
These Rides are on my bucket list!!!
This video has me sweating!!
