Just bought this. Only tried it once, but I really like it! I have oily dehydrated skin, so this is for nights only. Helps counteract irritation from my retinol!
For some reason, despite having travelled to South Korea regularly and being able to speak Korean, I don't get that excited about using CosRx products for the most part due to the relatively uninteresting formulations. There is a product in the brand that I would like to try out though, namely the Ultra Moisturizing Rice Sleeping Pack from CosRx. Rice is a good source of plant ceramides and the bran of rice contains an oil itself which has lots of essential fatty acids and plant-based cholesterol and polysaccharides for binding moisture to skin. As an ingredient in skincare, the Japanese and Koreans have been using it for centuries way before brands like CosRx or even Amorepacific appeared.
Thank you very much, Kelly. I have virtually healed my damaged skin barrier using pure aloe vera gel, a cream with omega, cholesterol and ceramides and finished off with CeraVe moisturizing cream (heavy healing with niacinamide). I layered all that 5 times a day, then my skin started refusing so much moisture and I’m down to twice a day and it’s starting to feel too much. My skin feels moisturized even after washing my face! I just wanted to thank you for all your tips! 💝
That's so amazing to hear and I'm literally so honored to have helped you get your skin back on track! It's pretty cool how our skin tells us when it's feeling happy and fed, glad you're recognizing those signs!❤
Congrats on healing your moisture barrier! Do you feel that applying that routine 5x per day helped you recover quicker? I'd be a bit worried about breaking out (combo + acne prone here)
Wow....looking at your Videos now from when this one was made....you can clearly see the Work you have had done to your face! Your Teeth have been fixed, and your Nose has been done, alone with other treatments you have had done as well! You really need to do a Video on what you have had done, so people won't think it's just the Skincare products you use 😂
All I've done is braces and Invisalign to correct crowded teeth and an overjet. That 2 year process widened my jaw since my overjet is now corrected I loss the plump look in my top lip, but it's worth it for an aligned bite and less jaw pain! I've had nothing done to my face.
Thank you for this. I'm deciding whether to buy this or Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream for my oily skin and now I know this Cosrx one is better for dryer skin. Btw, I'm from the Philippines 😁
Did you smell the bergamot oil on application? It is pretty disappointing when essential oil ingredients are found in the list of ingredients, despite the product claiming to be for everyone!
Yayyy, another video!! I have this product as well and definitely it's very heavy. I don't think anyone could use during the day unless you are crazy dry. It's a huge amount of product as well so will last a very long time as a little goes a looonngg way. Thank you again for another awesome review video, can't wait for the next one!! Hope it's getting warmer in Jersey, it's starting to here in Vermont...accept we're about to get the (hopefully) last snow storm of the season. Bring on spring already lol!!
Great review! I purchased this along with their snail mucin essence to deal with my damaged skin barrier and I really really appreciate what it did, and still does to my skin :D Amazing combo. I live in southeast Asia, the weather is always hot and humid, and I have oily skin. The cream is wonderful to use at night! It balances you out nicely. But yes, I don't use it during day time, except for certain area where I might feel like I need extra moisture support, like around my mouth and the lower part of my face where I don't produce oil as much. But on certain days only. So don't dismiss this cream for your oily moment yet :) You can utilize it for sure! Much love from Cambodia 💘
hai plz help me with this i recently started using snail mucin and am waking up with tight and dry skin in morning. will this cream seal all the hydration??? and can it clog skin .i have combination skin(dry cheeks and oily nose and forehead) plz help me
@@spyfie1879 hiii... I have acne prone skin too and this cream does not clog my pore whatsoever :) it is VERY moisturizing so using a little bit does goes a long way. Adjust the amount to your liking. It does seal in the moisture in your skin so I think this should be good for you. I hope this helps!
@@spyfie1879 I'd say, if this cream is very accessible to you, get it. It's rich and creamy and in my experience, it did help me with my damaged skin. HOWEVER, if you can get your hand on other fragrance-free moisturizers with similar ingredients, my favorite, and the one that I'm still using is the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream, I'd say choose that instead. It's so clean and simple and effective. The texture is not as rich and comforting as the Cosrx one, but it gives just as good of a result. It's lighter, so you can definitely use it in the morning too if you want. Again, adjust the amount according to your liking and you're good to go :) I do prefer the feeling of the cosrx one though, especially at night. So smooth and rich and comforting and almost luxurious on the skin. The light bergamot scent is so therapeutic. BUT, in term of functionality, the Illiyoon one is better, in my opinion. So if you can get that, I highly recommend it as it will definitely help with your skin barrier. And because it's lighter in texture and finish, you can still use it after your skin is healed too. Hope this help!
Not all ceramide creams are heavy, but this one is! I would actually suggest you try beauty of joseon dynasty cream as it's very light feeling on the skin but has lots of barrier loving ingredients!
I actually love this product.. im from Malaysia so its pretty humid here. I would normally apply this at night, but if you wanna use it in the morning, use a very small amount and spread it all over your face, add on little by little until you feel like its enough. Hope this help
I have to ask- what’s the sparkly eyeshadow that you use? I love the beige/nude reflect to it! Also I love your videos, they’ve helped me get through winter with my skin in tact! ☃️❤️
I'm so happy they have helped, that an awesome accomplishment, winter is so tough on skin! It's Peripera Sugar Twinkle cream shadow, the color is called beige kitten I think!
Kelly Driscoll thank you!! And thank you for posting such quality content, I love learning about why and how things work and my skin has really benefitted 🥰
thanks so much for reviewing this product. been eyeing for it. but the humidity here in the philippines might not work well with the product considering that i’m oily and sensitive skin. 💓
Severely dehydrated skin, irritation, redness, dry, tight and itchy skin that doesn't stay hydrated throughout the day. This video will help you figure it out th-cam.com/video/Xs6hBPfrGD8/w-d-xo.html
I would not suggest the dr jart toner as it contains drying alcohol which is a big no-no for damaged barriers. However I hear the dr jart cream is very good and has the barrier ingredients I look for in a cream, ceramides, fatty acids and cholesterol and no drying alcohol. If you are looking for product recommendations for healing your barrier I've done a comprehensive video on in here th-cam.com/video/i07GzVpIJ3Y/w-d-xo.html
Why would any formulator put a known ingredient for sun toxicity? Bergamot is a really bad idea and can cause sensitivities. There are so many other choices. How about lavendar?
I’m new to your channel (just subscribed😊) and really enjoyed this video. I love how you go into depth and explain things. Extremely helpful. My favorite COSRX product that I’m currently using has to be the Snail Mucin Essence. Idk if you’re talked about Pyunkang Yul, but I’ve recently been impressed by some of their products, especially the Moisture Ampoule. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos:) Thanks, chickadee🍃🌸.
I'm so glad you're here and enjoying the videos, Carrie, thank you for the sub! The snail essence is just the absolute best, makes my skin so happy! I haven't tried and PKY, but it's on the shortlist of products I want to try soon!
Hi kelly!! I wonder if you have tried the benton aloe bha skin toner...I am thinking of buying it but it would be the first toner I have ever tried so I don't know what works :(
I have tried it, it's a good toner. It depends on your goals, if you are wanting it for chemical exfoliation, it's not a strong product so it might disappoint you on that front. If you are looking for a toner that is a booster product for an anti-acne routine with some hydration then it would be a good choice.
Summer is here and my skin feels alot more oily on my t zone but winter month I could benefits from this. What moisture do you recommend for summer days combo skin
Cosrx or cereve or soon jung barrier intensive cream which one i use for repair my as soon my barrier has tottally damaged acne redness dryness and tzone oily
I'd recommend cerave moisturizing cream or illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream. I wouldn't recommend using products with essential oils when your barrier is damaged, like this cosrx cream.
This product is on my bucket list but I was unsure if it could be a good purchase. I have oily sensitive skin, plus I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis (SD). I have been on a difficult retinoic acid journey and I was looking for something to use on my night time routine to re-establish my skin barrier. You said it could be good for people who use retinol but I'm afraid i won't tolerate it due it bc the DS/oily type skin. Can you give me your honest opinion and suggestions? Ty and love your channel xox
I think you're right, this cream is probably not the right fit! I would suggest taking a look at rovectin barrier repair cream or cerve moisturizing lotion (cream version might be too heavy). Both of these have the necessary ingredients to keep your moisture barrier protected without heaviness or greasiness!
Other barrier care cream you would recommend? Specifically to use with tretinoin. I have normal skin which tends to get a little oily during warmer climate.
Best cream to heal or maintain a moisture barrier is cerave moisturizing cream! For intense barrier repair I like stratia liquid gold but it's not enough to be a final moisturizer for me!
