    Great video! Question: How did you get the direct url to your website (outside of the Contact Info link) to show between the location/contact info and contacts/followers lines on your current LinkedIn profile? I've been trying to add this as well but cannot figure out where you added it to make it appear here. Is this a feature for premium members only or something?

    Very clever decision to gently move away from translator to language service provider. Translation will be done more and more by AI. And one day, AI will master it. So it makes a lot of sense to allready now plan how to adapt to it.

    • @Freelanceverse
      @Freelanceverse  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, 100% agree. It's definitely time to adapt or be eaten :D

      @@Freelanceverse Would you be willing to make a video where you speak more in depth about how AI and technology are influencing your field and how you are adapting? As someone who is considering a career in translating/ editing/other language related services, I’m very curious to hear the perspective of someone currently working in the language services industry.

    Hi Adrian, great video! Perhaps you've already made one and I just can't find it (sorry if that's the case!), but could you possibly make a video sometime talking about how to advertise yourself as a translator/freelancer, i.e. which name to trade under? I notice that you used 'fringe translations' along with your name on LinkedIn - do you recommend using a business name or your personal name? Hope that makes sense! Thanks :)

    • @Freelanceverse
      @Freelanceverse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex, I haven't made a video on that yet, but very good idea! I started with fringe, but then my domain got hacked and I had to restart and decided to trade now under my personal name. I don't think there is a big difference to be honest. Important is just that you buy a domain and make it your email so you don't do business with a hotmail or gmail etc. I haven't noticed any difference when trading under my personal name or a business name. Will plan a video about that for next season :)

    • @Freelanceverse
      @Freelanceverse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mohamed, you would work on both careers simultanuously? I would simply add both of them in your LinkedIn. There is not much ordering you can do in a profile. It will just have the standard look. If you plan to specialize as a translator in the medical technology field, then that would be the best link between the two of course.

    Hi Adrian, How do you add logos/pictures to the experience and education tabs; added the alma mater logo to the edu tab but can still see the gray avatar?

    • @Freelanceverse
      @Freelanceverse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, the institution or company that you enter has to have a LinkedIn page. When you then add the school or company in one of your experience or education sections, LinkedIn will recognize it and suggest it as an autocomplete option. Then it shows the icon. If your school doesnt have a LinkedIn page, then it won't work I'm afraid.

    • @acorntranslations3335
      @acorntranslations3335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Freelanceverse Appearently, not only does one's alma mater need to have a LinkedIn page (as mine did), but also you need to add it as "new education." It won't work otherwise. (It's not possible to update an existing education "card" to add an avatar/a logo). We don't know why.
