THE PIECE
Psappha was composed by the Greek-French composer Iannis Xenakis and is one of the most important works of modern multi-percussion literature. The piece does not contain a specific instrumentation. The composer only specifies material groups: Three of woodwind and/or fur instruments and three groups of metal instruments.
The notation is done in a unique graphic composition with 2396 individual segments, thus placing great demands on the performer. Besides "Rebonds", "Psappha" is the only piece for solo percussion by Xenakis.

Who wouldn't have some fun on a set up like this!?
Wow. I've discovered this performance in the morning and I've been listening to it five or six times during the day. Great player, great sound. Even the room sounds great.

But at Emil's request, we have wrapped them lightly with wool especially for this - if you would like the same mallets, feel free to reply to this comment and we can arrange something 👍🏻
reminded me of Benson vs Drumatron VI
