      What we actually need is an electoral collage. Right now, Quebec and Ontario hold all the cards. they have since Canada officially got a constitution. Each election is the same. 85% of Canada votes out the Liberals, Quebec and Ontario vote them back in.
      An electoral collage would give each province x number of votes... so say 1 each. That is 10 and 2 territories, so we need one tie breaker. We would quickly see Canada go back to being one of the best countries in the world. Each province would now have a say. Do you really think P.E.I. has a say in the shaping of our country? Oh... Working from home is fine as long as there are consequences for poor performance but this is the Government so of course there isn't. Ditch all the empty buildings and start letting people go who don't preform.

      No working from home isn’t fine! The productivity is about 46% on most studies and if it was so productive why has Trudeau hired 45,000 more gov workers? 2000 just to manage the carbon tax we all didn’t vote for?

    • @joelchambers
      @joelchambers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kennordsfan1494 did you even read what I said. Countless industries have made working from home work. Only difference with them is if you aren't performing you're let go. Why should government work be any different. Set quotas and make sure they're met. It's pretty simple.

      once the real rate of inflation

      at the moment.

    Why can't anyone just come out and say why this is a massive problem? If your paycheque is completely paid for through the government you are not a taxpayer. Your wages are paid exclusively by those who do pay taxes. Your $45/hr income is paid for in full by others who do pay taxes. The most generous take on this is that you have some of your taxpayer-funded income clawed back. I fully understand that we need some government jobs but a vast number of those who work in the public sector are a drag on our economy and need to go. Furthermore, public-sector unions are insulting to those whose wages have to go to funding their members.

All 3 have 7 layers of management. This has to stop. Notice how the IT delivery is a problem in all 3 domains as well. Could be related.

    You can't grow the bureaucracy and the economy at the same time. Overhead must be managed very carefully and the managerial class must be held to standards that are result oriented. Feelings based decisions have no place in government.

    Interest rates should never have been near zero, let alone stayed there for many years. The stock market used to have a viable alternative in bonds and GICs, because interest rates were moderate. As you aged, it was prudent to have more money in guaranteed vehicles. Lowering rates for so long exploded the rich poor divide because anyone who could qualify was leveraging hard on real estate or even investing, creating historically nonsensical P/E ratios that continue today. I don't see any short term solution possible, because banks are allowed to extend amortization longer instead of letting the market correct, becauase they chose not to stress test at reasonable possible rates for over a decade. Did they really not think rates would rise in 25 years?

    We all deserve so much more as Canadians and for our governments, both Liberal and NDP, to continue to spend recklessly and grow the size of government at unprecedented rates only to secure their futures and the futures of their friends is disgraceful. It’s time for Canadians to start speaking out and demand better government and get their spending under control. We the people live with budgets but the governments seem to believe they have no budgets and they have cart blanche to do as they want. Our tax money is ours and it should be spent for the betterment of Canadians!
    We need a strategic plan and fast to turn this around and once again become the promise land Canada once was. We have one of the richest countries in the world and yet we sell our natural resources, our lands, our waters to other nations who are stealing from us blind.
    Please help yourselves and start to speak up to your local MP’s so we are all heard and not hearing just the voices of the very vocal minorities.
    God Bless Canada and may we rebuild this once great nation.
