Let me know what you thought when you get back. Our group had some disagreements on my video, but I thought it was balanced. See what I missed and what I got right. I am envious, wish we were there now - enjoy!
I will be going with my mom and dad who are 60 years old and I am 23. Do you have any activities suggestions for the three of us to do together and separately?
Realistic review. I’ve been to resorts where it’s like pulling teeth to get bottled water and towels. Hate that. This resort does look clean although which is a massive plus.
I just came back from there last week and my thoughts were similar. They needed another bar by the beach. We pretty much just went to the bathroom in the ocean. It was more convenient. We were on the fifth floor at the end of one of the wings And we did a lot of stair climbing. It would have been great if they had some more elevators by the two ends of the building. The restaurants were way too busy and they only had three themed and we only went to the Italian one because that seemed to be the least busiest. The buffets were OK, but you only had the one late at night. The airport experience was horrible so I would definitely not go back to this resort, especially passing through that airport.
We are thinking about staying here in February. Did you feel safe? Did you do any tours outside of the resort? It seems like the hotel is very far from major attractions. What water activities does the resort offer (parasailing, jet skiing, etc.?) and was their an additional cost. Thanks for your feedback. Helpful video! Brenda
Panama is very safe. I posted another review called First Timers Review of Panama where we address many of the security and layout features of Panama. The resort is a fair distance away from Panama city, but lots to do around. We did go sightseeing one day. Sorry, no water sports so can't comment there, but there was boats and jet ski's all around.
I felt totally safe and travelled with teenage kids. The hotel is far from attraction, a small mountain town that you can visit. There were jet skis at an additional cost. We did not go on any tours as we stayed in Panama city for a few days before and toured there. See the video First Timers Guide to Panama that I produced.
My favourite overall is the Riu Guanacaste in Costa Rica. Never went to a Riu in Playa Del Carmen (stayed beside one) but it looked very nice and the people I talked to loved it. Check out Costa Rica - we loved it!
How is the beach at Riu Guanacaste? I was so disappointed to be on a beach vacation last year at the RIU Palace Cabo and not be able to swim at the beach. I am a little apprehensive of the pacific dark sand and no palm trees vs somewhere like the RIU Yucatan or Riu Ocho Rios that we have been to in the past that have had beautiful pristine beaches.
I been to 6 different Riu Resorts. The best entertainment is Ocho Rios Jamaica. The best food so far is Cabo San Lucas. Also there is a significant drop in service and food when you stay in a RIU lower than Palace status.
No doubt the palace resorts are the best, but you also pay for it - for the price it should be the best. Your right, the Riu in Cabo does have good food!
I’d recommend not going but if you do, pretty much every room can see the ocean. Just depends on how close or far you are. I just came back from this resort and got Covid here, go somewhere else, it’s very underwhelming.
Hi!! My fiancé and I deciding on to book this place for our honeymoon that we would leaving for in the next 2 weeks. Do you have an email that I could contact you and ask questions? A few on the top of my head are, do they have a swim up bar? Also, how is the sports bar? Do they serve mix drinks? My fiancé and I are looking for cheap and fun entertainment. We're very laid back people and just want to have a good time but not spend a whole lot. Is this a good place for us? How are the pools and beaches? Clear water? Beautiful? Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks!
You were TOO gracious with this review! The hotel seemed pretty bad to me; no beach or pool service? One bathroom for the entire pool/beach area? The pool tile is already chipping away? Dark sand which makes for murky water is no beach vacation for me!! And one of my most important features, only wine and beer for drinks at the restaurants??? DEAL BREAKER!! This hotel gets a 4/10 for me.. But your video presentation was great....as always!
4/10 no way my friend. Best rooms in any Riu I've been in. Dark sand is not a big deal to me. We tricked the wine/beer in restaurants by bringing in one as we entered. We are not big drinkers so maybe that's why it was o.k. with us. Can we settle on 7? Anyways I would go there again in a minute. Thanks for your input. If I do one again, I will note these.
@@microtechmachineshop please have fun and be careful. I was nearly raped by a guy on the beach selling horse rides. Beaches are public and vendors are not affiliated with hotels.
when you spend thousands to go to an all inclusive resort so you can relax on vacation, and exchange money in your home country so you can tip the resort staff for their service, you have basic expectations lol.
Thanks...really good review. Will be looking for other ones from you.
Going there in two weeks! Great information.

I'll be going to Playa Blanca in 3 weeks, when did you visited?

Although the canal is some ways away, it was one of the highlights for sure.

are the specialty restauraunts included in all inclusive or are they separate? thanks!
Thank you for the informative video. Do you have a link to the other Riu hotels you have visited.
If you go to my channel "solWORTHY", they are all there. Hope that helps.

Hey, I just finished booking a standard room at this resort, do you believe I’ll be able to have some sort of an ocean view? Thanks in advance

@@Crysis33100 Maybe......I'll nudge up to a 5 and a half or 6...but 6 is my final offer, lol!
This is the worst RIU an needs improvement in service in all areas!!
Stacey Chutskoff it’s that bad? I’m going in a few weeks.

You are so lucky! Enjoy the buffet and make sure you go to the beach party!
