      Flynn stands in the spotlight focused on him by the fact that he is not retired as that word is commonly understood. Flynn is on inactive status, therefore he can be called back to active duty, be brought before a court-martial proceeding and tried for the same offences he pled guilty to in his civilian trial. If convicted by military court martial he can get a not honourable discharge and further penalised by forfeiting his pension and other benefits that accrue to retired military personnel. Let’s hope.

      In order to do away with Presidential pardons the U.S. Constitution would have to be changed, wherein that issue is a part of. And once the U.S. Constitution is opened for change, these same crooked politicians that benefit from the change would not be un-pardoned. But those crooked politicians would not stop violating the Constitution and once opened for changing the U.S. Constitution would be worthless.

      By every constitutional and legal measure, taking all crimes into account, Trump is a traitor. He has no allegiance to his voters, none to the wider nation, none to his staff, allies or appointees.
      They have gone down the rabbit hole with him taking the country down with them. Utter traitors defrauding the American nation. Horrifying.
      Trump will take the justice system down and he will become a dangerous dictator if he prevails.
      But in my crystal ball, I see the country rising up against a future President Trump, his Maga weasel people like MTG, Jordon, Flynn Gaetz, Graham, etc, and physically removing them from office.
      MAGA is not a cult it is a genuine neo fascist movement. If they don't self correct...they will be corrected. Just based on political history in other countries and your own for that matter.
      YES..Get the vote out for democracy and the Dem party.
      I would appeal though to the Dems to address gestational limits on abortion and encoding civil rights for children. I'm a retired clinical social worker with a dissenting view on elective abortion as a method of birth control. Better alternatives are available. And as a child and youth clinician I have doubts about childhood trans surgery. It is a nuanced issue.
      No compromise on gun control or on civil rights protections or on public health care, or other pro social dem policies.
      I wonder how a candidate shift to say Vindeman would change the playing field? I wonder if he could rise to that with the right support?

    • @robertschumann7737
      @robertschumann7737 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be open ended but it can not be for future crimes. It can say something like "for any and all crimes committed between May 1st and this date." They usually do narrow it just to avoid landmines. You don't want to issue a full pardon without boundaries then find out down the road the pardon was issued to someone that was unknowingly at the time committing heinous crimes elsewhere and now they have a full pardon for those crimes and the president gets a huge blackeye. For example. Trump issues Steve Bannon a full blanket pardon with no boundaries for his build the wall scam. 3-4 years from now it comes out that Bannon spent all of his vacation time at Yellowstone molesting Bison and running around the different campgrounds flashing the campers while riding a horse naked with a chicken rammed up his rear. A full blanket pardon will forgive those crimes and there will be huge public outcry that a pervert that big was set free by Trump. Some will claim Trump knew some will claim he didn't but there will always be questions. That's why they never issue blanket pardons and only a moron like Trump would.

It feels like the GOP is a street gang and MTG was seeking membership. I can only imagine how much the men who sent her out into the night with shopping bags and two pipe bombs laughed at her for agreeing to do something so idiotic and dangerous (the bombs didn’t go off, but they easily could have). This has given those men, including Trump, a way to carrot and stick her to do all kinds of things on their behalf. She is desperate to be accepted. I have always believed that High Schools should include in their government classes the importance of registering to vote. Sometimes if voting is not important to parents or older family members that care of the right to vote ,young people are not going to! Government studies teachers can without being political encourage the kids to register! Even make a school trip if the school allows it! When I turned 18, I wasn't looking towards a Birthday Party, I could hardly wait to register to vote! And so my children, all vote, one thing I also taught my children is what my dad told me is to read and educate myself on issues and what kind of person I chose to vote for! And never ask people " who should I vote for?" There were no computers laptops or cell phones that were invented yet) Some.of my kids vote differently than I do and I respect that! Self-pardons by a pardoning officer, and pardons by a pardoning officer to the pardoning officer’s co-conspirator are null and void. This means the pardon has to be more than just to protect the pardoning officer issuing the pardon to be null and void. The pardoning officer must be involved as a co-conspirator in the crime which is being pardoned.
      For example, if Melania had publicly announced she would testify against President Trump for every crime he has done before and while he was president to which she has receipts for, and Trump hired a hitman in DC (federal area) to take Melania out as she’s walking into Congress to testify, successfully ending her life (a federal crime because it was executed in DC), and then Trump issues presidential (i.e. federal pardons a president has jurisdiction to issue) pardons (pocket pardons or otherwise) to himself and the hitman, neither pardons are effective, because the pardoning officer (President Trump) was involved in the crime that is attempting to be pardoned in both pardons.
      If his daughter had ordered the hit, and the crime benefits him but he wasn’t involved in it, the pardon to his daughter and the hitman are both effective.
