WtR is hard for sure but they sound like dick live... because on the record, they record in smaller takes than fucking Polyphia, using 300 noise gates and compressors, interchanging all 300 in different takes.... All of that effort to get 30k youtube views and sell out shows in 100 cap bars in iowa

People shitting on it because they don't have Arif don't realize that the biggest difference in the sound is straight up only mix the mix. All the parts are still there, it's just a badly balanced mix, real common with festival recordings like this.

Pretty much all of their songs are tuned a half-step down. However, songs like Mist and half of Kezia are tuned in drop Db (C#G#C#F#A#D#).

You gotta really love the band to say this sounded good. I had to turn it off before I couldn't unhear it.
I know how you feel, but this is 90% the fault of getting the Sound from the board.. they are playing/singing well, we are just getting the dry as farts sounds with no reverb or any proper mixing, which makes ist all sound very harsh/amateurish
at the beginning you get a sense of how it sounded through the PA, before they transition to the board Sound..

Straight up one of the worst live mixes ive ever heard. I'm really not usually one to weigh in on this kind of stuff but like, sound tech must of had an off day. It happens! Could have sounded way different in the audience. This is not the artists fault.
Definitely sound different to the audience. Always does. Board mixes are hit or miss and I'd say this one is raw dog lol
