That's because your mind is full of doubts. And your intelligence is weak.Forgive me for saying this but it is the truth. What you and I call mind in Sanskrit is called ' antakarahna'. It consists of Maan(conscious mind), buddhi( intelligence), chitta ( subconscious mind), ahankara (ego). The conscious mind and buddhi thinks that whatever Guruji says is correct and right. However it is difficult to bring into practicality. For that, the subconscious mind is the problem. The subconscious mind is an ocean of all the activities that has happened to us in this lifetime and the previous lifetime. Just think about this. A baby isn't born alcoholic, do how does a person become alcoholic? The answer lies in the subconscious mind. I would suggest you to listen audiobook by James Allen "As a man Thinketh". It will help you to understand your mind, and it will give you ideas to make changes in your life, so that you will actually see real changes in your everyday life.
