At some point in the last decade smack talking devolved into actual hate filled rage. I don't think it's just Battlefield.

Chris is right. The way i see it. Most these people are nerd and they get shitted on at school/work, their exist sucks. In video games they can take their hatred on random people. Now if their jocks, which some are, the get killed by a nerd, it pisses em off that they were offed by someone they make fun of at school/work, someone beneath them. Regradless, it creates unhealthy leaves of hatred and rage that makes me laugh my ass off
It just seems worse here because all the new consoles have the sjw friendly "enforcement teams" that run around and ban everyone who swears in messages and cater to the people who report you after dishing it out then being unable to take it, go into any online lobby with public voice chat on Xbox 360 back in the day and you'd see this kind of trash talking and hate isn't new lol

Not true, if you look at the fact that in one are 64 players and in the other one only 10
had a really good chat yesterday, 1 match we was having a laugh, "singing" and not insulting anyone, was great, match after 1 guy started to abuse people verbally so I told him to hush, i got insulted and then one of the guys from the game before started to make positive chat comments again, and we had a happy time again, We was all happy that everyone else was happy that we was happy :D
one enemy asked us how our day was, so i told hi i got a gf then the half the enemy team congratulated me, neat stuff

Why the chat box is salty:
Because it's a chat box. It's as simple as that, everyone feels more "anonymous" without voice chat so they talk more shit. It's the same for every game, naturally any communications between opposing teams will be trash talk.
Your having people play a broken game, you figure out why they are so pissed all the time.
Don't forget the base raping.

First: No NORMAL Human being pays 70€ or $ for a Game! Do your Research and you will find something more cheap! Waste of Money to pay THAT MUCH for a AAA MP Shooter... 40-50 is OK...
Second: L2P and you dont get bombed a lot like here! ALMOST no one gives a shit about Pilots here (in the Video) thats why Ranger get them so hard!

@@maximilianlindner use the panzerfaust on bombers they are big targets and stay on the edge of the flag area because pilots usually aim for the center of the area and shoot ennemy flares to avoid getting spotted

I don’t think that everyone is salty or toxic in chat. I just think with how the game is having it’s issues, and almost every one seems to have cheats for the pc a lot of players are on the edge. It doesn’t help with having to deal with constant frame drops, stuttering, cheap kills, etc. I bet most people who play BFV, don’t have fun. I play it once in a while, and it’s just not fun.

I love BFV its my favorate BF in all of them, Battlefield 1 confused me so i didnt like it that much but it was still a really cool game, my main class used to be Medic and ive been a medic game since BF3 but BFV made me change because of the M1Garand probably my most used weapon in BFV

It's just not in BF5 but in BF2, 3, 4. I believe the most toxic chat boxes live on EA games. There's plenty of multiplayer games out there that have SOME toxicity but nothing compared to EA games.

On PS4 you’d be getting shot from every direction 24/7 by snipers and mmg’s crouching on a hill, or just random medics not even ptfo, and most of the time your team doesn’t do jack compared to the other team, which often is as sweaty as balls, they always stick in pairs too

I was playing on Xbox and i angered a player to the point he switched teams and yelled insults at me using the squad VOIP. I learned 10 new insults that day. Yes, this kid actualy continuously rejoined the game until he got onto the German team (my team).
lucky im playing mostly on 200% damage servers where the admins always kick hackers and salty men :D
