Whew! This message smacked me right in the forehead 😂. This man is a public speaker but struggles with shyness and insecurities in the relationship arena. The mutual friend that introduced us told me before we even met that he is not a very confident guy despite the fact that he speaks publicly for a living. Then, after we met and went out a couple of times, he shared the same information. He admitted that he likes me and would love to pursue a relationship but thinks he doesn’t have what it takes to hold my interest once I get to really know him. He says that’s how it’s always gone for him in the past. He is the nicest man i have ever met and I can tell it’s genuine. He also shared with me that he’s never met a woman that is as gentle, kind and supportive as I am. I have been feeling that I shouldn’t reach out to him for a while but have gone against the feeling several times because I thought it would reassure him of my interest and help to ease his fear of rejection. It’s crazy how I wanted to reach out to him today because I was feeling sad, wanting to vent because I know he will listen but I didn’t. Every time I started texting the message I would stop and get out of the message thread. And instead I prayed and continued working.
