  • When the resurrected Jesus appeared to Peter, recommissioned him, and told him what the future held, the restored disciple had to confront the task before him. Initially, his attention was focused on his friend John-perhaps in empathy or concern, or perhaps in jealousy. Yet Jesus redirected Peter and echoed His initial invitation to follow Him. While Peter and John were different men with different instincts and convictions, they shared the same hope: that one day, after He had gone, Jesus would return to bring His people home.
    Scripture: John 21:20-25

I came into this world alone, except for God. Period. I mean, I had no say in it. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the only ones I can't live without.

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth.

I don't believe in saying one person is better than another, but I do believe Allistar Bagg is a gift from God as far as getting a glimpse of the Holy Trinity.

Simon is a given name, from Hebrew שִׁמְעוֹן Šimʻôn, meaning "listen" or "hearing". But at 7:25 Allistair says something very different ?

You can't demean traditions then claim sola scriptura which itself is a tradition. Protestantism is also a tradition. The reformation was a tradition. All Christians hold to one tradition or another. The issue is whether those traditions are legitimate.

Jesus berated the pharisees for holding to their own traditions over the word of God. Sola scriptura isn't a tradition. The word itself declares that scripture alone is sufficient. Protestantism isn't a tradition and neither was the reformation.

Please let’s just take a breath and remember “the man on the middle cross said I could come”. All else is superfluous.

@@pharmglove please don't say 'let's all take a breath', it's patronising. We're all adults here and can have calm, rational, and reasonable discussions. I get what you are saying but the only way we know what the man on the middle cross said was through the sacred tradition of the apostles which was then recorded and written as Holy Scripture. So no, I don't think everything else is superfluous. They are fundamental to faith.

Jesus is not in religion or in churches! He is in relationship!
