Great day of exercise out there. I’ve walked that whole area and couple miles further. Yeah where that stream was, there was definitely something going on with the water there. There’s stuff in the ground there still( even after me lol) Those areas will be fern city by July. That’s a great large cent, nice and crisp.Congrats!
Man, quit beating us everywhere 🤣🤣 There’s a spot close to the last house with “ no trespassing” signs, we obtained permission to as we were leaving. Our hopes are that the signs have deterred random folks from hunting it. There’s 2 cellars on it. But I’d bet the signs didn’t stop everyone, they never do lol. We parked way back at the trail head for the park, where the big wood sign is. So we had quite a walk
That's a sweet largie James. The finds mite have been few but the scenery was plentiful. Definitely a great place to spend the day wandering around. Happy hunting and be well

Try using some Vicks Vapor Rub and put it on your neck and head and the black flies shouldn't bother you so much. I use it to keep mosquitoes off me and it has worked pretty well. Just give it a try and let me know what happens. Thanks, great video.
I need to try that!! When I’m out tanning, I use banana boat tanning spray and notice the mosquitoes hate it BUT.. the bees seem to like it 😒. Thanks for the great advice!! 😀
I’ll try it on Rebecca first, just to make sure it’s safe for me to try 🤣🤣 We have tried other things that folks have suggested, one being fabric softener sheets. Those didn’t seem to even slow the bugs down at all. But I can see why Vicks might do the trick. They don’t like that strong eucalyptus sort of thing. I’ve noticed lots of the natural repellents use stuff like that
@@rebeccasfinds4239 we used to live in New Hampshire for 24 years and now live in South Dakota, and the Vicks trick had worked for me when I was in the woods cutting up some trees, and it has also worked for me in SD with knats and mosquitoes when I am fishing late at nite. Hope it works for you.

One of our nicest dug coins so far. Usually I get the short end of the stick and at least one side of the coin is toast. I was pleasantly surprised today.
Beautiful largie. I bet all the stuff that's lost out there in the in between land, equals the amount of all the stuff found around cellar holes ever. Cause that's where they worked and dropped a lot of stuff, and nobody wants to hunt it cause it's so vast and targets are few and far between.
Exactly what we think. I just need to work on my endurance a bit 🤣🤣 This last winter was no good on my weight. My knees and back hurt just walking today. They still hurt now. I can only imagine the extra weight is putting a strain on everything.

There is a site call “nh stone wall mapper”. It has lidar layers you can apply. I’m not sure how you go about it in Maine, I think every state has a specific site. You may try a similar search, as the one I listed above, just with Maine in the search, instead of Nh

I had tossed that idea around before. Kinda like a “naked and afraid” thing but with metal detecting. I bet it would get huge views. Unfortunately the editing involved in blurring stuff out would be way to much work for me. I deleted the Adobe premier software because I hardly ever used it. I really wanted to get into it, just never had the content worth that kind of time.

Where can i get LIDAR software from ? there are alot out there

I had tossed that idea around before. Kinda like a “naked and afraid” thing but with metal detecting. I bet it would get huge views.
Unfortunately the editing involved in blurring stuff out would be way to much work for me.
I deleted the Adobe premier software because I hardly ever used it.
I really wanted to get into it, just never had the content worth that kind of time.
