Astounding that so great a master as Pt. Venkatesh Kumar would engage a harmoniumwallah who never learnt the proper Aroh and Avaroh of this important Raag. He consistently plays M-d-N-S. At some points it seems as if Panditji were trying to explicitly show him "No Dummi, it's M-P-N-S" but the guy just can't cut it. This isn't nitpicking. Raags as close in modal structure as Shree, Puriya Dhanashri, Purvi, Gouri, etc. rely on their "Chalans" to establish and maintain their identities.
Lovely exposition of Raag Shree. Panditjee's breath control, taan patterns are awe-inspiring. One nit - the harmonium player consistently played Ma Dha Ni Sa, instead of Ma Pa Ni Sa...which strays from the mood
