Good afternoon Arnie and Lynn. 😂😂😂Headless shepherds. Awe. She still loves you. Adorable. And yes she is privileged and our favorites are going to have babies. 👏👏👏. Lynn you look so tiny trying to shoo the sheep. I really appreciate how you look at your sheep to make sure they feel good. Sorry about the loss of your ewe lamb. Boy they were vocal tonight. Well Luther must be thrilled with his harem. And those two handsome boys don’t realize that they are getting their girls tomorrow. Great video. Super big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@patriciaruppert201 yes, sometimes I think Arnie forgets that I am half the size of the sheep that he wants me to stop! A lot of editing went into the sorting of sheep!😆🤣🤣 Diva is still a darling 😍 Thanks, Patricia 🥰🥰🥰🥲
We also had a big cool down here in Kentucky. Quite nippy for a couple mornings, especially for August!! It was very short lived and this weed we are back into the heat. Luther seems to be quite content with his new ladies.❤ I'm excited to see which of your homegrown rams you choose to cover your girls that don't go with the new boys. As always I'm a Glad fan and hope he gets another chance to produce some gorgeous kids. I don't like to think that he may fully retire before long but I do realize breeding is hard work and takes a lot out of a ram. Luther does look so much like Glad but Gladiator will always have my heart since he's a homegrown Ewetopia Farms boy!!❤ Thanks to you and Arnie for sharing your day!! Stay safe!!🙏❤🇺🇸
Good afternoon to you both from the united kingdom arnie and Lynn we love you both always you have some bloody good looking sheep there they are real quality i prefer suffolks as ive never lambed Dorset ewes i was a shepherd working amongst sheep in England but I had to give it up due to ill health issues
@@briantaylor467 Welcome here from England. You will get to see the Dorsets lambing shortly. They are quite different from Suffolks. We didn't love them when we first got them, but we really like them now 🙂
So exciting that breeding groups are starting. There really is never a “quiet” time for you both I see. 0 to 40 every season. Whew! Had a laugh at the headless shepherdess.😂😂 THANK EWE!!
Sorry to hear you guys lost a ewe. Hopefully the rest will stay healthy for breeding. They truly look amazing. Luther seems quite proud to have all those extra ladies. 😁 Since he was put in with the ewes first when do you expect the first lambs to drop? 😊 Will Chewy go in with a Suffolk ram? 🐑 Another fabulous vid, Lynn and Arnie! 💛
@Mary-F I haven't checked the exact dates yet, but they will start in January. We are late this year. Chewy will be going in with a Dorset. Check tomorrow's video!😁
I've always wondered: what exactly are sheep baa-ing at feed time actually saying? "Oo I'm so excited!"? "Me first! Me first! Not her, ME!"? "Look girls, the guy with the pail of good eats is back!"? "Move! Get outa my way!"? 🤔
@LavenderLushLuxury It's funny how that expression changed over the years! It used to mean that it was a total flop, but nowadays, it means awesome 😁 Thanks
I knew you were in trouble when I saw 9 million Suffolk ewes headed to another barn to be turned in with one ram. I was like, "Um, that ain't gonna work!" So I assume you picked out two other Suffolk rams for breeding groups. Anxious to see who you chose.
It's good to see you've got breeding groups started. I'm so sorry that you lost an ewe.I wonder what the ewes will think of the rams! Sorry my comment is so short today but I'm just getting over a migraine. Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!❤🐑
@jessicacarstairs7520 OMG, migraines are the worst! I get them too! Please don't feel obliged to write long comments! Even a thumbs up is great! Feel better!🥰🥰🥰🥰
I am not a sheep farmer but someone once told me that a sheep's fear of water is deeply ingrained in their genetics.. They are not swimmers and wet wool would pull them under quickly. They also can't gauge the depth of the water they see. As far back as biblical times, references to a good sheppard stated that he leads his seep beside still waters versus running waters. Interesting, right ???
Exciting to see breeding groups. I'm excited to see Luther's offspring when it's lambing time, i know it's awhile yet, but it will be exciting!
@@scootytamra it's always exciting to see how new rams do! He was breeding someone today!
