I had no idea how tasty tinned fish could be until I went to a restaurant that specialized in sea food and tinned fish. My eyes were opened and my pantry is better for it! Love these recommendations, they are so personal and you communicate the “why” for the recommendations very well. If my partner is open to going to Canada in the future, I can’t wait to bring him to one or two of these places. Thank you for sharing.
Loving the channel and content. ❤👌. Live in the UK but what the hell? Isn't Vancouver on everyone's list of places to visit! The fact you are a superb chef and understand food and promoting local, family businesses! 👍 . And not only cook but you can make a superb cup of coffee! Thank You. Watch the channel grow!
despite living in the lower mainland my entire life, I didn't know a good chunk of these places existed 😅 definitely gonna wanna go to a few of these before the year ends 😄
Thanks Ryan, for sharing your experiences and your opinions on some of your favorite establishments in Vancouver. I will return to Vancouver at some point down the road not anytime soon but maybe the next few years and I will hit up some of your hotspots that you were talking. Thankfully, I’m not too far cause I’m in Seattle. I used to go to Vancouver all the time when I was younger and it was, you didn’t need passports and not allowed to get through the border. It was really easy to get into the border.. Vancouver was my party city with my friends back in the day. ❤
The Acorn is AMAZING!! Even if you aren’t vegan you should go! Just make sure you specify you are vegan and not vegetarian and they are more than happy to accommodate
The timestamp labels got a bit weird. Okomo Tar for Au Comptoir made me laugh. Also sitting at the bar and having cocktails & steak frites at Au Comp is just a fantastic way to spend an evening.
Cmon its all about the breakfast. 🎉🎉🎉 Also like randomly not that i know anything about food ( cereal is like literally my favorite) but like its so fascinating how italian americans like partnerered(?) With american food and its enterprise. Like yeah theres dominos but also like theres the neighborhood pizzeria that like is the high school hangout and like the family night out. Like its just so fascinating and wonderful.
Vancouver is pricey for people that haven't been to many places outside of Canada. It'd be below average for a US city, and well-below average for any major city in France/England/Germany/Switzerland.
Ryan's posting again? Your expertise in the Vancouver food scene is pretty impressive.
Sounds like you have a better list... What did he miss?

Phenom Phen I wasn’t that impressed with at all.
It's just like most Asian seafood restaurants, so yeah. Was surprised as well. Thought it'd be better
Vancouver's far too pricey.
